Heads up! The Dala Pantry will be closed on Monday for MLK Jr. Day, so make sure you stop by on Saturday between noon-2pm! We'll be back to regular hours on Tuesday from 2:30-4:30pm.

Shout out to our local GIRL SCOUT troop who toured the Dala Pantry at their recent meeting! They then made us 25 Birthday kits, complete with cake, candles, plates and all to make a party!! Our patrons now have a BD in a box! And one is already gone 🥰

We anticipate a significant rise in need at the Dala Pantry if the government shutdown continues because 187,000 Kansans could lose access to the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) on November 1.

Ways you can help:
1. Use the link in the comments to write your legislators and encourage them to end the shutdown now. (Thanks to our friends at Kansas Appleseed.)

2. Bring material donations to the Dala Pantry so we can be prepared. We're especially in need of meat, peanut butter, dry cereal, toilet paper, paper towels, and fresh fruit.

Shout out to the local employees at Peoples State Bank for honoring the Dala Pantry this year with a gift of $250! They called us last Friday to inform us, and later I read that the first Friday in September is National Food Bank day!!!! We are so happy to have all of our LBK supporters!

The Dala Pantry seeks to address food insecurity for households within the Unified School District #400 community by providing healthy food to all those in need.

Any person living in USD #400 who needs food is welcome to receive the support of the community through the pantry when they have need.

You can Help!
We always need volunteers!
Call us and schedule a time you can work.
If you can donate food, we can indicate present needs.

If you can offer financial support, please send to Messiah Lutheran Church LBK designating Dala Pantry as the Recipient.

The Dala Pantry is a joint ministry of Messiah Lutheran Church LBK and Bethany College Campus Ministry. We are funded by grants and generous donors with an affiliation to the Kansas Food Bank Warehouse in Wichita.

We're trying a new time!!
Starting this Monday June 16, Dala pantry will be open 10-12 in the morning 🌅 and NOT open in the afternoon. This will be ongoing through the summer 🌞 🌞
Other days continue as they have been.

We unloaded 1,528 lbs. of food for the pantry–all collected from the community with the help of the post office!
