Central Valley Rescue Railroad CVRR is an all Volunteer rescue located in the CA Central Valley. We are motivated by compassion, powered by volunteers and funded by donations.

We were floored to learn that Cooper is 50% Rottweiler — a breed none of us even had on our bingo cards. What a plot twist for this handsome mystery pup.

Thank you all for the incredible outpouring of support to help little Sander feel better. This happy boy is soaking up every bit of love sent his way, and it truly shows.

A huge shout‑out to Rhonda at Groomingdales in Visalia — she worked her magic and revealed just how handsome this little guy really is 🥰

Sander has already received multiple applications and has a meet‑and‑greet scheduled for this weekend, so it’s very likely he’ll be heading to his new home soon. 🚂cvrr.us

Esme’s life didn’t begin the way any dog deserves. This young, gentle girl spent her early days surviving at a gas station, unsure of who to trust and relying on scraps and instinct. Everything changed the day she finally found the courage to let someone help her — and that single moment opened the door to safety, comfort, and love. ❤

Since arriving at CVRR, Esme has blossomed. She enjoys peaceful walks, curling up on a soft bed, and soaking up every bit of affection our team offers. She’s playful, affectionate, and learning every day what it means to be cared for. 🐾🐕

We have always said that once an animal comes into CVRR, they become part of our family — and that includes the people who love them.

Patsy recently suffered the heartbreaking loss of her son and caregiver. She is a lifelong animal lover who has opened her home to countless rescues, including those who were abandoned, neglected, or abused. Three of her beloved companions — Paul, Otis, and Waylon — came from Central Valley Rescue Railroad and are cherished members of her family. (This photo is of Patsy, Otis and Paul)

Piglet is approximately one year old and weighs 15 pounds. She has a lot of personality and gets along well with other small dogs. She is a newcomer to CVRR and looking forward to getting adopted as soon as she is spayed. She will be ready to go with all her vaccinations and a microchip too.
