Meet Lando!

At just 6 months old, this big, beautiful boy is still learning that the world isn’t such a scary place. Lando is a sensitive soul with a quiet personality and a heart full of love. He may be a little unsure at first, but once he trusts you, you’ll discover the sweetest teddy bear hiding underneath.

Lando is great with other dogs and would love a home that can continue helping him build confidence. His leash skills still need a little polishing, but with patience, encouragement, and a little guidance, this gentle guy is ready to learn.

Gucci was happy to have a spa day and trim. He is so proud of how he looks now. He loves to play in the yard and run about with all of his pooch pals here at CVRR. He doesn't seem to have an interest in cats, but LOVES people. Gucci is hoping to find a home where he can continue to be active, and get all of the attention he deserves! Meet Sadie!

This adorable 2-year-old Border Collie is a petite little lady, weighing in at just 21 pounds! Sadie is friendly, social, and ready to make new friends. She does well on leash, is fairly house trained, and gets along with most other dogs. Best of all, she's got plenty of personality packed into her tiny frame!

Meet Lance. He is approximately 1 year old, weighs 55 pounds and has the most incredible tongue. Lance is a happy big boy who has all the wiggles and kisses anyone could ask for! He was previously adopted from CVRR, however turned up in a local shelter. We're unsure why he wasn't reclaimed but his story will not end at that. HONORING THOSE WHO SERVE — FIRST RESPONDERS SPECIAL

At Central Valley Rescue Railroad, we believe some heroes walk on two legs—and some are waiting on four. In honor of Labor Day and in remembrance of the 25th anniversary of September 11th, CVRR is proud to honor the men and women who answer the call when others need help most.

❤️ And all those who serve our communities in times of crisis

From September 1st through September 12th, approved dog adoptions for first responders receive $50 off.

It’s a small gesture of gratitude for the courage, sacrifice, long hours, and countless lives you touch. We will never forget those who gave everything on September 11, 2001, nor those who continue to serve and protect their communities every day.

CVRR honors you. CVRR appreciates you. And most of all, CVRR loves our first responders. Maybe the best way to say thank you is to bring home a loyal companion who will be waiting at the door when your shift is over.
