Good afternoon Lindsay!! As we move into the evening hours, please be weather aware! Storms will start to fire to the West, and Southwest, moving Northeast. Large hail, damaging winds, and the tornado threat is there today. It will Be dark when they arrive. Have a plan in place. We will have spotters out as the night goes on!

The members of Lindsay Local 5391 are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic loss of two firefighters from Goldsby, Oklahoma who gave their lives in the line of duty this morning while responding to a call.

Our hearts go out to their families, their brothers and sisters in the fire service, and the entire Goldsby community during this incredibly difficult time. Their bravery and selfless service will never be forgotten.

We stand with you, we mourn with you, and we honor their sacrifice.

Rest easy, brothers. We’ve got it from here.

Good evening Lindsay!! Please be mindful, Garvin County IS still in a burn ban. This coming week, we are expecting more days with high winds, and low humidity. Those 2 things, along with dry vegetation are the perfect recipe for a fire to ignite, and get out of hand quickly! Thank you for your cooperation.

The conditions are right for dangerous fire weather across Oklahoma.

✔️ Strong winds
✔️ Low humidity
✔️ Dry Vegetation

All the ingredients are there today.

There is only one thing missing… the spark.

Don’t be the reason a fire starts today.

Avoid outdoor burning.
Secure trailer chains.
Postpone welding or grinding outdoors.
Properly dispose of ci******es.
Never park on dry grass.

We offer our deepest thoughts, and prayers to the brave men and women of the Ft. Worth Fire Dept. after they responded to a "Mayday" call and rescued two firefighters trapped in a structure collapse. One firefighter has been treated and released, while the other is receiving ongoing care in the burn unit for multiple injuries, including second- and third-degree burns.
