Thank you, Ben E. Keith Beverages!

We truly appreciate the donation of emergency drinking water. These hot Texas days have been a lot more tolerable with cold water on hand for our crews.
Hydration is critical when we’re out working, and support like this from Ben E. Keith, Anheuser-Busch, and the National Volunteer Fire Council makes a real difference for volunteer departments across the state.
Thank you for looking out for the men and women who serve our communities.

🚒 Every Meal. Every Bid. Every Donation Makes a Difference. 🚒

When you purchase a meal ticket, bid on an auction item, or make a donation, you’re helping equip the men who answer the call!

The graphic below shows the cost to fully outfit just ONE firefighter. With approximately 40 firefighters on the Muenster Volunteer Fire Department and turnout gear having a service life of only 10 years, we still need to replace 14 complete sets of turnout gear by the end of this year.

This equipment isn’t just expensive.. it’s lifesaving. Every helmet, coat, pants, boots, gloves, SCBA, radio, and light helps protect our firefighters so they can do their job safely and make it home to their families after every call.

🍽️ Join us this Saturday, August 8, 2026, for the MVFD All-You-Can-Eat BBQ & Auction!

Come hungry, enjoy a great meal, bid on some incredible auction items, and help invest in the safety of your local volunteer firefighters.

🎟️ It’s not too late to get your tickets!

Meal tickets are available at Momma Luke's Ace Hardware or from any of the firefighters below (Cash or Check):

• Caleb Winters – (940) 768-9211
• Kyle Waggoner – (214) 404-0090
• Michael Flietman – (940) 736-9868
• Clayton Rohmer – (940) 768-9400

Help us Fill the Boot and protect those who protect Muenster. We hope to see you there!

Lindsay and Muenster are unique places. We might have our East Germany / West Germany rivalries and give each other a hard time every once in a while (especially in the fall), but at the end of the day we’re friends, relatives, and completely intermingled. That creates a community that’s been handed down for generations, and we’re blessed that it’s still alive. The fellowship we share is something rare.

We can come together to support someone in need and truly help them. Lindsay Volunteer Fire Department would especially like to thank the Chicken Chokers for having this drive-through meal down to a science. Thank you also to Muenster VFD and the Muenster Jaycees for the manpower and generosity—it was much appreciated. We all had a good day and raised some money for a young man in need.

Thank you to everyone who came out for lunch and to those who bought raffle tickets. This is what community and sacrifice look like. I know we made a difference today.

If you see this post, please pause and say a quick prayer for healing and guidance for Zachary Hermes. The LVFD is keeping him in our prayers.

Come get your lunch. You don’t have to cook today!!!

Thank you to our community for your continued support.

Lindsay Volunteer Fire Department would like to update everyone on the grants we have received over the past 12 months through the Texas A&M Forest Service Rural Volunteer Fire Department Assistance Program. We were awarded five grants:

• Skid Unit Grant — $30,000 (5% match)
• Training Grant — $10,000 (0% match)
• Equipment Grant — $25,000 (5% match)
• PPE Grant — $25,000 (5% match)
• Large Brush Truck Grant — $265,000 (5% match)

That’s $372,250 in equipment and training resources added to LVFD to better serve our community. Our total required match is $17,250. We also committed additional funds to purchase an additional brush truck to pair with the new skid unit that is already in service.

This update is simply to let you know we work hard with every dollar you donate and try our best to give you a good return on your investment in us.

Thank you for your support. We are always here for you. Call us anytime — you know the number. #911
