What we need Wednesday (Thursday edition.... AGAIN!😆) Thanks for being patient with us!

Christmas is in full swing in our project room! We are already building fun Christmas kits!🎄✨

Every year we send Christmas kits to kids in crisis throughout Utah. We are anticipating providing Christmas to between 850 and 1,000 kids this year. We already have orders for over 850 kids! The vast majority of these kids will not be receiving gifts from any other “sub for Santa” or similar projects. These kits will be their main Christmas gifts. Each and every donation makes a difference in helping a child feel important and loved!

Here are some items on our wishlist!

❤️ Games for teens

💚 Blankets! Specifically red, green, red AND green, and black and white checkered.

🧡 Sports Balls. Footballs, basketballs, soccer balls etc

💛 “Spikey” sensory balls. We love to include these in our kits for younger kids! They can be found on Amazon at a good price.

🩵 Towels! Every child recieves a towel, so we’ll need a LOT of them.

💙 Games appropriate for children ages 3-9.

💜 Drawstring bags (green or black please!)

🤎 Christmas pillowcases! We would love some pillowcases with fun Christmas designs and colors

🩷 Coloring books for all ages 🙏🏼

As always, your donations can be dropped off at our location in Lindon. Search Hearts Knit Together in Google maps and look for the Lindon location. OR message us and we will send you the link.

We are open for donations Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday 11am-3pm

You can also drop donations off at one of our drop off locations. These can be found on our website. Let us know if you need help finding that list!

YCC Family Crisis Center supports individuals and families impacted by domestic and sexual violence through safety, advocacy, and resources on their journey to safe and healthy lives.

What we need Wednesday!

🩷 We could really use more body wash and lotion for women! These go in our kits for domestic violence shelters.

🩵 We’re super low on fun pillowcases for boys. We would love some that are standard size with colors/designs suitable for boys.

What an incredible day yesterday was!

We had the privilege of joining hundreds of students at the UVU Institute to assemble 1,000 hygiene kits for children in crisis. We are feeling so grateful for the experience.

To serve alongside Sister Kristin M. Yee, and to have representatives from JustServe and Welfare and Self-Reliance Services of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints there supporting this effort, was such a gift. There was something powerful about watching so many people come together with one purpose: to serve.

These 1,000 kits will soon become part of the comfort and care Hearts Knit Together provides to children throughout Utah. Every bottle, toothbrush, comb, and carefully packed bag represents something much bigger. They are a reminder to a child going through a difficult time that they are seen, cared for, and not alone.

We are deeply grateful to the UVU Institute, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, JustServe, and every student and volunteer who showed up and made this possible.

This is what happens when a community comes together to serve.

Six major service projects. Four days. Hundreds of people choosing to serve. 🤍

Since Thursday, we’ve had the incredible privilege of being part of six major service projects throughout Utah—and we are feeling so grateful.

Every kit assembled, every item prepared, every hour volunteered, and every person who showed up makes it possible for Hearts Knit Together to continue serving individuals and families facing some of the hardest moments of their lives.

We simply could not do this work alone.

To every organization, group, family, and volunteer who joined us over the past few days: thank you for being part of this work. Thank you for giving your time, your hands, and your hearts.

What you accomplished doesn’t end when the service project is over. It continues as these items make their way into the hands of people throughout Utah who need to know that someone cares.

We are so grateful to have you beside us. ❤️
