Linden Heritage Foundation

Linden Heritage Foundation Preserving the Architecture and Cultural Heritage of Linden, Texas. Linden is rich in natural and historic attributes.

The Linden Heritage Foundation is the sole non-governmental organization in central Cass County for the protection and promotion of cultural resources and for the adaptive use of historic sites designed as economic development tools. Founded 1848, it has a unique inventory of Public Works Administration era features, along with its surviving late 19th century and antebellum structures. The histori

c Cass County Courthouse located at the heart of the city was the base of the area’s Civil War preparations — early mustering, arming, provisioning as well as later widow/orphan relief activities. Linden’s boundaries comprise two vast land patents earned in the period of the Texas Republic. The broader history of the ground on which Linden is built reaches farther back to the period of Spanish exploration and to pre-historic eras when Native American societies flourished on the wooded and well-watered local landscape. Those tribes left behind many cultural objects and folk traditions – some of them still legible today through their descendants and other followers of tribal ways. A few of those traditions are so interwoven with present day lifeways that their original source is no longer recognized by the average resident. The Linden Heritage Foundation will work to make all these continuities better understood and appreciated.

Great food, great company and a wonderful cause!!!

Linden Heritage Foundation fundraiser prize recipients, Rose and Wade Billingsley, enjoyed a special dinner presentation, made possible through a generous donation by Jackie and Sam Higdon.

The Billingsleys enjoyed their night out at the ranch by offering the winning bid in the LHF Annual Valentine Gala’s silent auction!

Our inaugural Linden Heritage Foundation Valentine's Gala was a grand success, built on the generosity of donors who contributed to the silent auction. The community's response was overwhelming, with incredible donations pouring in within a short three-week window.

During the evening, we honored four remarkable couples and individuals:

Tracy, who was named Best Dressed Single

Richard & Holly Bowden, who won Best Dressed Couple

Tony & Jeannette McDuffie, who received the Sweetest Love Story award

Honorable Mentions for thier sweet sweet Love stories and prizes for Dennis & Hattie Roberts
Joesph & Teri DeNatale

Marvin & Alliene Kelly, who have celebrated 69 years of marriage as the Longest Love Story winners.

We would also like to extend our appreciation to Velvet & Lead Band for their memorable performance.

We welcome you to join the Linden Heritage Foundation to help organize future events and preserve the town's rich cultural heritage. Our website is http://lindenheritage.org/membership/ and our mailing address is PO Box 146, Linden, Texas 75563
