Our Story
Founded by Steve Haupt, The Ammon Foundation launched in October 2016 as the philanthropic endeavor of Ammon Labs.
Our mission is to empower individuals in addiction recovery through combating stigma and providing strategic support to enable personal success. We envision a world where all who have suffered from addiction are able to access and sustain long-term recovery.
Driven by the visionary servant leadership of Executive Director, Mariel S. Hufnagel, we aim to realize our critical mission and vision through our Ammon Recovery Scholars Program. Via this program, we offer financial scholarships to individuals in recovery to pursue education, and then aim to additionally support our recipients with academic, personal and professional support. The Foundation believes that when individuals in recovery are holistically supported to build purposeful lives, the likelihood of them maintaining their recovery substantially increases.
