Yesterday, members of the Perry County Rescue Squad attended the VFEAT (Volunteer Firefighter Equipment and Training) and Rescue Squad grant luncheon in Lawrenceburg, TN. Pictured is Captain Gary Rogers, who accepted the Rescue Squad Grant on behalf of our department. We would like to thank our state representatives, the Governor, and the Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office for supporting agencies like ours through grants that help provide lifesaving equipment to better protect our first responders, and the communities we proudly serve.

Perry County Rescue Squad, Linden Fire Department, Perry County Sheriff’s Department, Lobelville Fire Department, Perry County EMS, Linden Utilities, and MLEC are currently on scene battling a fire at Shell (Plunkett’s Pit Stop) and Buddy’s Place Thrift Store in Linden.

Please keep the business owners, employees, and all of our first responders in your thoughts and prayers as they work through this difficult situation. We are thankful for the dedication and hard work of everyone involved in protecting our community.
