Perry County Rescue Squad, Flatwoods Fire Department, Law Enforcement, EMS, and Meriwether Lewis responded to a structure fire late on 3/27 extending into the early morning hours of 3/28 on Sugar Hill Rd.

Perry County Rescue Squad, Forestry, and Law Enforcement responded to a brush fire that got out of control on Timber Hill Spur Rd on 10/5/25.

Perry County Rescue Squad responded to a water rescue at the Buffalo River Resort after family members reported that the victim, while swimming, became distressed and went under the water. Rescue Squad immediately began searching the area and was able to locate the victim near the last known location. Tragically, the victim was declared deceased at the scene. A big thanks to the Perry County Sheriff’s Department, Perry County EMS, Perry County Dispatch, and the Buffalo River Resort for all their invaluable assistance. Our thoughts are with the family during this difficult time. 8/24/25

Perry County Rescue Squad along with Perry County EMS, Perry County Sherriffs Department, Air Evac, and THP responded to a vehicle accident with entrapment on Highway 100 near Brush Creek Church of Christ. Both occupants were flown from nearby LZ. 8/10/25
