🦃 We're looking for 2026 Lindale Turkey Trot sponsors!

The Lindale Turkey Trot has become a Thanksgiving tradition for hundreds of families in our community, but it's about so much more than running!

Thanks to our runners, volunteers, and incredible sponsors, we've been able to donate over $60,000 to the Lindale ISD Education Foundation since 2019, including $12,500 from last year's race!

We're looking for local businesses who want to be part of making this year's event another success.

👇 Know a local business or business owner who would love to support our community? Tag them in the comments below! Help us spread the word and connect with businesses that want to make a difference!

💙 Grant in Action!

The Lindale ISD Education Foundation is proud to award a mini-grant to the Special Programs Department for “Pop-Up Possibilities: Bringing Portable Sensory Magic to Special Programs!”

The department debuted its new inflatable tents at the Fall Festival! These durable, light-controlled spaces serve as sensory houses and interactive stations, creating welcoming experiences for students with severe disabilities.

Replacing fragile pop-up tents also means easier setup, helping our hardworking educators and therapists spend more time supporting students. From Fall Festival to Holiday Hooray and future Special Programs events, these tents will support safety, peer inclusion, and joyful experiences for years to come!

Thank you to our donors for making these possibilities a reality! 🦅

2026 Homecoming: Alumni/Service Awards Presented by Cooperative Teachers Credit Union 🦅

We proudly congratulate the recipient of the Lindale ISD Distinguished Alumni Award. This award honors a graduate who has gone on to achieve excellence in their personal and professional life
while continuing to represent the Eagle spirit with pride.

It is our pleasure to recognize Mrs. Penni Jordan. Penni graduated from Lindale High School in 1975 and married her high school sweetheart, Keith Jordan. In 1993, she started working for Lindale ISD. Today, she continues serving Lindale ISD as the administrative assistant to the superintendent. She and Keith raised two Lindale High School graduates, and today she treasures her role as Gabby to four grandchildren—three of which graduated from Lindale ISD. Penni Jordan represents the very best of Lindale—faithful, hardworking, family-centered, and dedicated to her community.

We also celebrate the recipient of the Lindale ISD Distinguished Service Award, which is presented to an individual who has given
extraordinary service, dedication, and commitment to the students,
staff, and community of Lindale ISD.

Barham Fulmer’s family accepted the award in his honor. Barham and his wife Linda, along with their two children Katy and Karl, moved to Lindale in 1985 when he was hired to open Lindale National Bank. By 1990, he was elected as a trustee for the Lindale ISD school board, eventually serving as board president, and served for six years at that time. In 1998, he was appointed by Governor George W. Bush to the Texas State Teacher Retirement Board of Directors
where he served a six year term. In 2006, he again served on the
Lindale school board for four years, during which time the trustees
were named the Region 7 School Board of the Year. He faithfully
served our school district for a total of 10 years on the board. Barham was the proud father of two Lindale graduates and proud grandfather of three more Lindale alumni. He was a devoted advocate for Lindale ISD and was always cheering on the Eagles until the time of his passing in April of this year.

🌟 GRANT IN ACTION! 🌟

The Lindale ISD Education Foundation approved a Grant for Great Ideas submitted by the Curriculum Department to bring professional author, former English teacher and college-prep expert Angela Smith to our students!

Through her Common App Crash Course, school sessions and one-on-one consultations, Angela is helping junior AP and dual-credit students navigate every stage of the college application process. Students are learning how to brainstorm, draft and refine standout essays that authentically reflect their unique stories.

With practical strategies, personalized guidance and plenty of encouragement, Angela is making college preparation feel approachable and transforming a stressful process into a meaningful milestone.

This is your donations at work—providing Lindale ISD students with valuable opportunities and resources for their futures! 💙🦅
