Paws up for a very special new team member! 🐾

We are so excited to announce that our K9 Comfort Dog will soon be joining the Lincoln Police Department and serving our students at Lin-Wood School!

She is not here yet, but we want to make sure her new office and school spaces are completely ready before she arrives. We set up an Amazon Wish List to help gather her favorite things, training tools, and comfort gear.

And just to make sure ESD K9 Watson isn't left out, we put a few things on the list for him as well!

🚨 LIVE MOCK CRASH DEMONSTRATION AT NATIONAL NIGHT OUT! 🚨

This year’s National Night Out is going to include something you won’t want to miss — a live mock crash demonstration featuring a 2-vehicle crash and the combined efforts of all five of our local emergency response departments! 🚔🚒🚑

This powerful demonstration will give our community an inside look at what happens when emergency responders are called to a serious motor vehicle crash. You’ll see firsthand how our police officers, firefighters, EMS personnel, and other emergency responders work together to assess the scene, stabilize patients, safely remove occupants from vehicles, and provide the care needed in a critical situation.

This is a great opportunity to see the teamwork, training, and dedication that goes into responding to an emergency.
