⭐️ Staff Spotlight:
In August, Noah Trumble started as the Program Director for Lefler Community Learning Center! Noah has been with the Y’s Youth, Teen, and Family department for many years, and we're so excited to welcome him as a full-time staff member!
What is your favorite part of your job at the Y so far?
Noah: After-school programming has been awesome—getting to know a brand-new group of kids is always so exciting! Beyond the students, it has been wonderful connecting and collaborating with all the incredible new people I work with every day.
What skills or experiences did you bring with you to the Y?
Noah: I bring years of experience in the Y’s Youth, Teen, and Family department, where I’ve served as a Lead Preschool Teacher and a Behavior Specialist for Summer Day Camp. Over the years, I’ve facilitated programs with a wide range of families and staff. I love organization, program coordination, and creating consistency within relationships, but also love how much impulsivity working with youth brings. My true passion is building authentic connections—whether with kids, families, or school faculty.
What’s something new you’ve learned since starting here?
Noah: I’ve truly learned how fundamental open communication and personal connection are to everything we do at the YMCA. No matter the department, building relationships is what gets our programs off the ground and ensures we deliver top-tier quality to our members and families.
What’s something people might not realize about your job?
Noah: Through the Community Learning Centers (CLC) at Lefler Middle School, our work goes far beyond basic after-school care. I also coordinate completely free resources for student clubs, homework assistance, and community events to support students and boost family morale well outside of regular school hours.
What’s a fun fact about yourself that might surprise people?
Noah: I spent the last four years in a band, performing at local venues like The Bourbon Theatre and the Lied Center!
