Today marks the first day of Pancreatic Cancer Awareness Month. Beginning a few weeks after the 8th anniversary of Bob’s passing, it gives us a chance to remember him, reflect on the past year and the launch of this years Robert G. Fredette Memorial Scholarship virtual event. Although we have been unable to hold a formal golf tournament and dinner due to Covid-19 the past two years, we still would like to sponsor a scholarship for a member of the Lazarus Fraternity in his memory. For this years “event”, we have set up a GoFundMe with the goal of $4,000. Please donate to the Robert G. Fredette Memorial Scholarship Fund by clicking the link below. This year has been unusual to say the least; we've been quarantined in our homes, have to wear masks when we leave the house, and had to cancel events we were looking forward to for months. Unfortunately, as you may have noticed, the Robert G. Fredette Memorial Scholarship annual golf tournament and dinner was no exception. However, we still want to make a difference! In lieu of an event we are launching and online fundraising campaign. The link below is to our new webpage, here you can learn more about what we do, contact us, and of course support our cause! Please consider donating, this year has been hard on all of us but especially those who have lost a parent or sibling and may be struggling financially as a result of the pandemic and/or the economic down turn. Every dollar counts in helping a young man receive a first class education of the mind, body and soul at Bishop Hendricken High School and the Lazarus Fraternity.

For all those who have been there from the beginning, thank you for your continued support, we could not have made the impact we have without you. For anyone donating or finding us for the first time, welcome to the family! Stay safe and God bless.

Christmas is a celebration of life as we welcome our Lord and Savior into the world, but we must not forget those who have entered God's Eternal Kingdom. As we celebrate this joyous time with friends and family, please take a moment to say a prayer for the families of the Bishop Hendricken's Lazarus Fraternity and all those who are missing a loved one this holiday season.

Commemorate the gift of life we are given each day and the lives of those who have passed on. Merry Christmas and happy holidays!
