811 Youth

We are a missional youth group affiliated with Loon Mountain Ministry and are dedicated to having "Sp We are a 4 season youth group(just as our church is).

811 Youth is the raising up of a new generation of youth into the likeness and image of Christ up here in Lincoln, NH! We love Christ and want to make Him known in the schools in the area as well as all throughout the region with the help of our church Loon Mountain Ministry. In the winter months we ski and snowboard at the local rope tow. In the spring and fall we meet weekly on Wednesday nights

for snacks, fun, worship, and pursuing Jesus together. Finally, in the summer we have large trips where we go biking, hiking, canoeing, white water rafting, and much more! Come join us! GRADES 6-12

Behind the Name:
811 feet happens to be the elevation of Lincoln, NH and we are striving to learn what it means to have "Spiritually Raised Youth", which comes from Romans 8:11- "The Spirit of God, Who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as God raised Christ Jesus from the dead, He will give life to your mortal bodies by this same Spirit living within you."

One week ago, we hosted the first ever Shred Show at Mountain Thrift & Coffee and it was so fun! It was a great turnout and an awesome mix of ski/snowboard films.

The Shred Show is a celebration of skiing and snowboarding here in the White Mountains. We want to encourage our local shredding communities to come together for a special time to get stoked about riding snow on fiberglass and metal. You like ripping slalom turns? You like jibbing rails? You like getting big air off cliffs? You like shredding pow in the trees? GET IT ON FILM! Whatever form of shredding you prefer, we want to see it filmed and edited in a way that gets more people stoked to shred!

Here’s how it works:
- Find a group of friends to shred with and make a plan
- Film a fun and creative video that you think will get others stoked to shred
- Edit your video down to be somewhere between 1-3 minutes long and export to mp4 file
- Email in your entry into nathan@loonmtnministrylcom no later than Friday, March 20th
- All ShrEdits are welcome, but only age 18 & under will be judged (the rest are just for the stoke!)
- The Shred Show Premiere will be held at Mtn Thrift & Coffee on Sunday night, March 22nd at 6pm
- Top 3 ShrEdits will be walking away with cash
$600 cash purse
- All edits must be youth appropriate (use clean versions of songs and language)

New Years Eve Party is tomorrow night! We'll be roller skating (with rentals), racing RC cars, making vision boards, eating good food/drink, and ringing in the New Year at Mountain Thrift & Coffee. Last week was rad! The LW Girls varsity was so fun to watch in the playoffs, Trunk or Treat was a great time as always, our flag football game under the lights ended up being a tight and competitive game, and our Sunday night open gym at the Penguin Ski Club was a blast. Some weeks are just packed full of GOOD TIMES!

We'll be back at the coffee shop this Sunday from 6-8pm. See you all there!

PIZZA PARTY this Sunday at 811 Youth! Come to hang, eat pizza, grab coffee, and play Polish ping pong. Don't forget to invite your friends!

This week we'll be having joining us to chat during the Opt-In about what they do and share about some of the movements happening at a few of the other schools in the North Country. See you on Sunday!

So far this fall season has been a bit inconsistent, but we're excited to get back to our regular Sunday nights for the remainder of the fall and into winter. Come hang with us from 6-7pm for hot food, Polish ping pong, and drinks from the coffee shop! If you want, stick around for our Opt-In time as well from 7-8pm as we spend time learning about Jesus, having conversations, and growing our faith!
