Good Neighbor Day encourages small, intentional acts of kindness that add up to stronger, more connected communities and a culture of goodwill.

We hope you’ll join us in making a visible difference. And if you can’t join us in person, we encourage you to pass along a little kindness in your own way on May 16th. 💛

We’re sending a message 250 years into the future. ⌛

To capture who we are at this historic milestone, has created America’s Time Capsule. This curated collection of letters and artifacts reflects American life in 2026, with contributions from all three branches of the government and submissions from each of the 50 states and territories.

On July 4, 2026, the capsule will be ceremonially buried at Independence National Historical Park in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It will remain sealed until 2276, when the nation celebrates its 500th anniversary.

An enduring gift from today’s Americans to future generations. 🇺🇸
