💜 531 DAY IN THE BOOKS!

The Bridge Foundation was proud to be a sponsor of the 531 Day Capital City Celebration, brought to life by Dboy Jackson and KDPP 97.3fm The Source ! 🔊

The culture at Peter Pan Park showed OUT. Live performances, guest speakers, vendors, food, and an entire community coming together to celebrate this city. This is what 531 looks like. 🙌🏾

The Bridge Foundation was honored to support events that celebrate, uplift, and invest in the community because that’s exactly what we exist to do for Lincoln’s youth.

531 is more than an area code. It’s a movement. ✊🏾💜

🎓 We were in the building! ✨

The Bridge Foundation had a table at the 2nd Annual All School Graduation Party hosted by Marvilee and the energy did NOT disappoint. 💜

The Mayor of Lincoln even proclaimed May 30, 2026 as All School Graduation Party Day! 👏🏾

Huge congrats to Regina Sullivan for building something this special for our Class of 2026. THIS is community. 🙌🏾

Class of 2026, we see you. Your destination is waiting!

🙏🏾 COMMUNITY SHOWING OUT AND WE’RE GRATEFUL.

A huge thank you to Star City Ques for donating clothes to our drive, and to every single community partner who showed up and showed love. 💜

Because of YOU, we were able to donate bags of clothing to Good Neighbor Community Center AND snacks to HopeSpoke an organization doing the real work supporting youth mental health in Lincoln. 🧡

This is what it looks like when a community moves together.

The Bridge Foundation is built on moments exactly like this. Thank you for helping us bridge the gap and support the youth!

We are so excited to spotlight Eric, a dedicated member of our Board of Directors who has been part of The Bridge Foundation family since 2025! ✨

Eric first began his journey with us bringing something that cannot be taught, the credibility of someone who lived the story our students are still writing. Raised by a single mother in Maywood, Illinois as the child of an incarcerated parent, Eric knows firsthand what it means to navigate a world that wasn't built with you in mind. That lived experience fuels every room he walks into and every student he pours into.

"I lead with integrity, authenticity, and care, because that's what changed my life, and that's what changes theirs." — Eric

For Eric, this work is personal. As a proud LGBTQIA+ two-time first-generation college graduate, double major in Psychology and Social Work, Master's degree holder in Educational Policy and Administration, and current PhD candidate at Drake University, Eric has turned every obstacle into a credential. His dissertation focuses on African American and Black males at Predominantly White Institutions, examining how intersecting identities shape their experience in academic spaces. This isn't just scholarship. This is advocacy with a degree behind it. Since 2019, he has worked in higher education building authentic relationships with students and pushing them to step outside their comfort zones and into their full potential. Whether he's serving as National Director of Academic Affairs and Civic Engagement for Omega Delta Phi Fraternity Inc., shaping TBF's STEM engagement strategy at the board level, or developing pathways to academic success for the students we serve, Eric is always focused on one thing: making sure the next generation has what they need to win.

Eric believes every young person deserves someone who came back for them. And he shows up every single day to be exactly that.

Please help us welcome The Bridge Foundation to the All School Graduation Party !

Empowering youth through mentorship, leadership, and access to STEM and healthcare careers, The Bridge Foundation is creating pathways for young people to dream bigger and achieve more. Their commitment to helping youth ages 14–22 connect with opportunities, resources, and career exploration is making a lasting impact right here in our community. “Bridging dreams to destinations” is more than a slogan; it’s the work they do every day to inspire the next generation of leaders.

We are excited to have The Bridge Foundation join us as we celebrate the Class of 2026 and all of our amazing graduates! 🎓✨

We loved having The Bridge Foundation out to the Saline Wetlands Nature Center in April for a youth-led community clean-up day.

A big thank-you to everyone who came out and helped make a difference!

We are so excited to spotlight Tykeya, a dedicated member of our Board of Directors who has been part of The Bridge Foundation family since 2025! ✨

Tykeya first began her journey with us bringing something rare, she doesn’t just believe in healthcare access, she lives it every single day. As a Medical Assistant at Williamsburg Family Physicians and an active nursing student, she is simultaneously on the frontlines of patient care and in pursuit of her next level. She knows what it takes to show up, grind, and grow, and she brings every bit of that energy to this board.

“The youth we serve don’t just need inspiration. They need to see someone who looks like them doing the work.” — Tykeya

For Tykeya, The Bridge Foundation isn’t separate from her calling, it is her calling. Her firsthand experience in clinical settings makes her an invaluable voice in shaping our Healthcare Career Immersion Experience and A.C.C.E.S.S. Project. She knows what healthcare facilities are actually looking for, and she helps make sure our students are ready to walk in those doors with confidence. She is proof that you don’t have to wait until you’ve arrived to pour back into your community, you start now.

Tykeya believes the next generation doesn’t need to figure it out alone. She shows up to make sure they don’t have to.
