Registration is now open for the 3rd Annual 28x28 Mobility Challenge, presented by ‘s social impact program, Right to Run!

This , we invite you to move for a purpose.

From July 1-28, advocates, clinicians, patients, families, athletes, and allies from across the country will come together to advance access to movement and mobility for the disability community.

Hey y’all! Nicole Ver Kuilen , SEBCM National Campaign Lead, and Kyle Stepp , SEBCM National Strategic Partnerships Lead here to give a massive shout out and kudos to all of our incredible advocates across the country for this 2026 legislative session! 👏

This year’s legislative activity has been one marked with mobilization like we’ve never seen before, culminating in some massive wins for our community.

Being recognized this past week by the Accessibility 200 is just one accolade of many that belong to our entire grassroots movement. We are so proud of this now 46 state coalition strong network (welcoming most recently North Dakota and West Virginia)!

Because of our advocates who believe and that all people deserve freedom, dignity, and access to wellbeing, our teams are pushing the needle on what’s possible and not settling for the status quo.

This year we’ve seen:

- A movement record: 26 state introductions!
- Enactment in our 13th state: Kentucky (SB 97) - bringing us closer to our goal 1️⃣3️⃣
- New Mexico (HB 38) becoming the first state in the country to enact coverage for Complex Rehab Tech (CRT) and sports wheelchairs, elevating our model legislation to a new gold standard 🏅♿️
- Georgia (SB 503) strengthening their law to include Public Employee Plans, with advocates like and boldly sharing their stories
- New Hampshire (SB 408) raising the bar of their law from just kids to all ages thanks to Senator Bill Gannon, a member of the limb loss community himself
- Maryland (SB 276/HB 445) being the first in the country to present a winning argument on an orthotics only bill, impacting communities with multiple sclerosis, cerebral palsy, drop foot and more
- Oregon (HB 4040) strengthening its medical necessity language so that insurers can’t deny access to orthotic and prosthetic care based on “comfort or convenience”

Our advocates are proving what’s possible when lived experience leads the way. This is only a small sliver of the impact, and we couldn’t be prouder of each and every advocate! So much more to come this year! 🦾🚀

Grateful for advocates like 🙌🐯💜

Katie is a strength & conditioning coach at LSU who knows firsthand how essential movement is to health and well-being — and she’s using that expertise to fight for access for everyone in Louisiana.

This clip is from her testimony recorded ahead of a committee hearing at the Louisiana State House, where Katie has shown up again and again to champion this cause.

The work in Louisiana isn’t done yet. We’re currently pushing to be heard on the senate floor. If you know anyone in Louisiana who wants to get involved, now is the time!

Thank you, Katie, for your bravery in sharing your story, for stepping up to push for this in Louisiana, and for living and breathing movement as medicine so deeply. 💜🧡

Meet Knoah. 🏃🏿‍♂️‍➡️🦿🦾 He’s lacing up and hitting the pavement again — because the law finally caught up with his determination.

Thanks to SB-614 (2024) in Maryland, insurance is now covering his prosthetic device. What was once denied is now a right.

This is what legislation looks like in real life.

We are done accepting a future where medically necessary care gets a rejection letter. A heartfelt thank you to bill sponsors Sen. Pam Beidle and Rep. Ashanti Martinez for making this law come to life — your leadership changed everything. And to SEBCM Maryland State Lead Sheryl Sachs, who championed this fight every step of the way, and prosthetist Leah Meunier at Hanger Clinic, an extraordinary Implementation Champion with SEBCM — because of all of you, patients like Knoah can access the care they need, when they need it.

Denials for medically necessary prosthetic care? That’s the old future.

Accessibility. Dignity. The right to move through the world on your own terms. That’s the future we’re building. 💜

So Every BODY Can Move advocates come in all shapes, sizes, and ages 🧡💜🦾

Meet Morgan — a young advocate already making a powerful impact alongside her mom, Jess Norrell , SEBCM Virginia Co-State Lead. Together, they recently accomplished Morgan’s *second ever 10K*, running side by side in support of SEBCM at the Monument Avenue 10K in Richmond. It wasn’t easy — the race was a mental battle — but Morgan pushed through and finished strong.

Her words say it all:
“Everybody deserves the right to move their body. Even if they are amputees. Everybody should be treated the same way, even if they are different. Running is fun to do with the people you love… running is for everyone!”

We couldn’t agree more, Morgan. Your voice and determination remind us that advocacy has no age limit — we can all be part of this movement.

And thank you, Jess, for paving the way and setting the standard in Virginia. Because of leadership like yours, as well as Meg & Eric Hinkle and Jenny Yonce, the team introduced a SEBCM bill for the first time during the 2026 Virginia legislative session with the sponsorship of Delegate Dan Helmer — an exciting step forward.

The momentum is building, and they’re ready to keep it going in 2027. Reach out and join in supporting the Virginia team as they continue this work towards enactment!

Today is , and is proud to join inclusion partners across the country to celebrate, rally, and build toward a future where every BODY can move.

Together, we’re recognizing the power of sport—and continuing the push for greater access and opportunity for all.

1 in 4 Americans lives with a disability. Yet people with disabilities remain among the most underrepresented in sport and recreation. We know that when access expands, so do confidence, community, and leadership.

As we work toward a future where sport and movement are accessible for every BODY, join us today. Because sport has the power to push us further—and bring us closer together.

This past weekend, advocates from across the East Coast and our national team came together in New York—joining for one of his live studios recording for an in-person strength and core class at Peloton Studios to celebrate Limb Loss and Limb Difference Awareness Month.

It wasn’t just a workout. It was a room full of advocates, athletes, and community showing what access to movement can actually look like.

Logan—a proud adaptive athlete, Peloton instructor, and co-founder of the alongside —continues to use his platform to push for that access.

This moment started last fall at our Mid-Atlantic Mobility Day in Maryland led by our Maryland State Lead, —where we first collaborated with Logan and Alex from ATA alongside Amputee Soccer and other community partners to create an unforgettable day of movement and for community members to learn about their rights through SEBCM laws.

What started there sparked something bigger—and this weekend felt like a full circle moment.

Grateful for Logan and friends like the ATA for continuing to show up for this community and helping amplify our collective impact we are making together.

Together, we’re advocating and pushing for the systemic change needed to ensure people with disabilities can access the devices they need to move through modernizing insurance coverage by championing legislative change.

What an incredible week at the Education Conference!

Our National Strategic Partnerships Lead, , had the opportunity to join adaptive sports leaders from across the country—coming together around a shared commitment to expanding access, opportunity, and equity in sport for people with disabilities.

It was a powerful few days connecting with several of our SEBCM state leaders in attendance, building new relationships with individuals making a meaningful impact across the adaptive sports space, and having the opportunity to present on So Every BODY Can Move.

We were proud to share our legislative strategy and the state-by-state grassroots advocacy work underway to modernize insurance coverage—ensuring people with disabilities have access to the prosthetic, orthotic, and mobility devices needed for physical activity and full participation in life.

We’re especially grateful to Jess Pullar for the collaboration and invitation to present, and to Kari Ortiz, Glenn Merry, Kayleigh McCauley-Sayer, and the entire Move United team for their continued support of SEBCM and this work.

This year’s EdCon theme, “Breaking Barriers, Building Community,” was felt in every room, conversation, and connection throughout the week.

With more than 500 adaptive sports leaders, coaches, and advocates gathered from across the country, the 2026 Move United Education Conference was unforgettable. We’re honored to have been part of such an impactful week!
