What is Oyate Tokeya, Inc
Oyate Tokeya, Inc. is committed to keeping traditional cultural ways alive among native* people and their relatives. This includes those that are in need, impoverished and/or homeless and those men, women and youth that are incarcerated. We encourage sobriety and education among the people and work for their betterment and well-being. We support the participation of medicine people, native leaders and elders to foster a meaningful cultural spiritual identity.
*the term "native" is used to refer to the indigenous people of North America, also referred to as Native Americans or American Indians.
