Angels Theatre Company

Angels Theatre Company 🎭Angels Theatre Company supports new work and live theatre in Lincoln, NE and surrounding areas. www.angelscompany.org Francis Chapel, December 1994.

The initial idea of the company began with professional artists Judy Hart, Pippa White and Sherry Cole Weber. The first production was Grace, Zeal and Transformation, a site specific performance piece presented at the St. The company began conversations with Amy Lamphere of the Wagon Train Project, in 1995. The Angels Company presented performances at the 7th Street Loft and other non-traditional

performance spaces until the Loft Consortium of Artist Groups formally identified itself in 1998. Upon the sale of the Wagon Train Project building, the Consortium chose to renovate and move to a new space – the Loft of
the Mill, in the fall of 2001. The Loft at the Mill continued to be a viable organization until June 2009. The Angels Theatre Company incorporated in June 2003 and applied and received IRS Not for Profit – 501c3 status as a public charity in December 2004. All good things must come to an end...temporarily, at least! And such is true for the 2025-26 Salon Reading Series. Please join us this coming Sunday, May 17th 2:00pm at Turbine Flats Project for our final instalment of the season - Diamond and Bone by Jordan Morille, directed by Brenna Thompson. Before you attend, learn a little more about this month's playwright -

Jordan Morille is an award-winning playwright, novelist, and professor. Some of his plays include Acanthus, Norma’s Rest, Thirty Deep, and the short play Jars. Other works include the novella The Juneborn (Running Wild Press) and the novel The Blacktop Lagoon (Atmosphere Press). He currently lives in San Marcos, Texas with his wife, children, and dogs, and teaches at Texas State University.

As always, the Salon Reading Series is supported by free-will donations at the door and no ticket purchase is necessary. We hope to see you there!
