Contributions to the food pantry come solely from organizations,
businesses, and members of the community. The pantry is currently operated by the Lincoln-Woodstock Recreation
Department. However, aside from providing staff time and facility space for
the pantry, it is not a tax-supported program. The pantry is not funded
through Lincoln or Woodstock and therefore depends on the generosity of

our fellow townspeople for all donations. The goal of the pantry is to provide a service that it will supplement the
basic needs of our community members. This is accomplished by working in
conjunction with local agencies, businesses, and churches to provide
needed materials and donations. Monetary donations made to the Lincoln-Woodstock Food Pantry are
exclusively used to purchase food and other needed items including; bread,
meats, fruits, vegetables, baby food, formula, diapers, cereal, pasta, dairy
products, and toiletries. The focus of the pantry is to provide a variety of
essential items to promote healthful living. An availability of nutrient-rich
foods enables people to develop healthy eating habits. It is our hope that those who utilize the food pantry will one day be able to
give back the way that so many have given for them. The continuing
generosity and caring of our community is what makes this program
possible. The Lincoln-Woodstock Food Pantry is a community initiative and
its success depends on the residents of Lincoln and Woodstock.

Calling all veterans! On Tuesday, November 11, all veterans, as well as retired, active-duty, reserve, and National Guard military personnel and their immediate family members, are invited to enjoy 11% off their shopping trip with proof of service and an AdvantEdge card.

“We have deep respect for those who have served our country and are proud to recognize their courage and commitment to protecting our freedoms,” said Blaine Bringhurst, president of Market 32 and Price Chopper. “This offer is one small way for us to thank members of our military, veterans, and their families for their service and sacrifice.”
