15 years ago today our world came crashing down around us when we learned my brother Adam had lost his life to su***de. We are forever changed.
Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.”
Its been a good “run”.
Run to Overcome has been a healing balm to our deep wounds. The Lord has turned our pain into purpose. To bring hope and awareness to mental health illnesses and to create a community for those who are in the battle and those who have loved and lost. So many of you have become dear friends through R2O.
While we have enjoyed every event, our kids have grown up way too fast and we now have a football loving son heading into his sophomore year of high school. While the event was on pause this past fall, Brian and I were busy at JV and Varsity games and traveling to small towns to see our kid out doing what he loves. We don’t want to miss a moment of the next 3 years.
We have prayerfully decided to permanently hang up our race director hats so we can be fully present during this season of our life.
Project 4:7 will still remain as an active 501c3. We plan on continuing Help for the Holidays, Fitted For Confidence and will be prayerfully considering other types of potential fundraisers in the future.
Thanks for all of your support over the years.
Keep shining your light with HOPE for those who are battling the darkness!
