Meet Kade - a recent recipient of a NextGen scholarship so he can pursue his passion through

Kade is a Junior in High School and is in his third year in .

Kade is the chapter reporter this year where he is responsible for weekly and monthly communication within the chapter as well as the creation of the chapter yearbook.

Kade has competed in numerous team and individual events in FFA. Contests include livestock judging, poultry judging, junior public speaking, livestock management, and meat judging. Kade also received his Chapter degree in the spring of 2025, the highest degree a chapter can bestow on its members.

Kade is one of many young leaders across our state who are pursuing their passions in alternative education this fall because of scholarships made possible by donors like you!

NextGen funds support many local programs with scholarship opportunities including our friends at 🌾🚜

Proud to be the first and only agriculture program for homeschool students in Nebraska! Nebraska Ag Academy delivers top-notch, hybrid education to 7-12 graders statewide—from Hay Springs to Crete, McCook to Ft. Calhoun.

Our future leaders in agriculture are:
1️⃣ Engaging in challenging online courses like plant science, equine science, and ag leadership, taught by certified ag educators with 40+ years of combined experience.

2️⃣ Gaining hands-on skills through supervised ag experiences—think service learning, working at a vet clinic, or even running their own woodworking business!

3️⃣ Thriving at FFA events, competing in livestock management, floriculture, public speaking, and more at local, state, and national levels.
Since starting in 2022 with 8 members, we’ve grown to over 50 in just three years!
