At Cumberland-Lincoln Rotary Club’s most recent meeting, we welcomed Grace, from Town of Lincoln Parks and Recreation department.

She gave us an update on the Town’s Memorial Day parade (we’re a proud sponsor!) and gave us some great advice for an event coming up with The Family Literacy Center…

Stay tuned… 😉🧐

The Cumberland-Lincoln Rotary Club went on a field trip to tour The Family Literacy Center in Manville… WOW!

Does our community know about this little gem? The Family Literacy Center welcomes kids after school and provides them with homework time (and tutoring by Lincoln High students!), snacks and a safe place to land until it’s time to head home. They have an ample selection of books in their library along with games and crafts kids can play with.

Our Rotary Club has exciting plans to make this an even better experience for the kids… stay tuned!!

Spring cleaning for a good cause!

Spring cleaning for a good cause!

Join us on Saturday, April 25 from 8AM to 12PM for a Wildflower Misfit + Hope Market-Powered by Feed RI / FeedRI collaboration. 🌼

We’re creating a space where families can spring clean and pass things forward. Bring clothes, kids’ items, books, household goods, and gently used essentials that still have life left.

Families are welcome to give from what they have extra of and take what they need. It’s all about shared care, direct community power, and more abundance for everyone.

Can’t make it on Saturday but still want to help? Swing by on Friday, April 24 from 2PM until 4PM. Let’s grow together!

Wonderful news for Rhode Island!

Wonderful news for Rhode Island!

In 36 hours, Rhode Islanders gave more than $5 million to over 700 nonprofits. Every single one of those organizations now knows their community is behind them.

That's $5 million keeping after-school programs open, food banks stocked, and the arts alive across Rhode Island. From Westerly to Woonsocket, the nonprofits that hold communities together just got the support they need to keep going.

Since 2020, 401Gives has raised more than $24 million for over 1,000 organizations doing
exactly this work.

Thank you, Rhode Island, for proving it every single time. 💙

How great is this?!?! 💙💛💙

A special thank you to those that donated nonperishable food items at our Bingo night - not as large a contribution as this is heading to our friends at the Cumberland Public Library, but every little bit helps!

Our Read and Feed Library Pantries are thriving!

Speical thanks to the Cumberland High School Class of 1990 who raised over $5,000 at their 35th reunion. We’ve now covered one year’s worth of food for the Cumberland Public Library. 🙌

Inspired by the Cumberland Class of 1990? Other alumni can help fill the shelves too, supporting families and their communities! Our pantries are open and serving families in Cumberland, North Providence, Warwick, West Warwick, and Hope.

Let’s keep feeding minds one pantry at a time! Have questions or want to get involved? Contact Lynn at [email protected].
