The results of the Lincoln County Childcare Needs Assessment are in! Join us tomorrow (Tuesday, October 6th) at 6:30pm to discuss the results and determine next steps towards increasing childcare openings in the county. The meeting will be in the County Courthouse’s basement meeting room.

Qualified applicants may now be eligible for:
💵 Cash incentives
🏠 Up to $5,000 in down payment assistance

Three opportunities are available:

📍 MakeMyMove Grant
• $5,000 cash + $5,000 down payment assistance
• For households moving to Lincoln County from out of state
• Must apply before moving

📍 New Resident Recruitment Grant
• $5,000 cash + $5,000 down payment assistance
• For individuals moving from outside the Dane G. Hansen Foundation service territory
• Must apply before moving

📍 NEW: Grant for Recent Movers
• One-time opportunity for people who have already moved to Lincoln County after January 1, 2026
• Cash incentive and down payment assistance available
• Application deadline: November 1, 2026

🎉 We’re one big step closer to bringing Post Rock Plaza to life!

The masonry work is complete, and the vision is becoming REAL! Shout-out to Post Rock Masonry for making the improvements to get this project started! ✨ Special thanks goes out to the Dane G. Hansen Foundation, Post Rock Community Foundation, the Wind Energy Benefit Fund, and Lincoln Center Improvement for Committee for making this masonry project possible!

The vacant space on Lincoln Avenue is being transformed into a multi-use community gathering space where people can meet, celebrate, connect, and create memories for years to come.

Applequist Manufacturing, Inc. (AMI) is taking its first steps toward expanding operations with a new manufacturing facility in Lincoln! At Monday night's city council meeting, AMI presented plans for the future of its property along Hwy 18. The new facility will serve as an additional location for the company, complementing its existing operations. Work is expected to begin this summer with demolition of the current structure on the property, followed by construction of a larger manufacturing facility in its place.
