Couldn’t agree more! What makes a neighborhood unmistakably Nebraskan? For many, its tree lined streets, historic homes and porches - qualities the survey said are best embodied by Near South. Near South was named the Nebraska neighborhood that best represents the state's character in a national survey asking respondents to identify the residential area that best reflects their state's appearance, history and way of life!

Nearly half of respondents also said architecture plays a major role in shaping connection to a neighborhood. 78% of Nebraska respondents said they are proud of the residential character of their state, while 66% said they would pay more to live in a neighborhood with strong local identity. When asked what makes newer neighborhoods feel less local, the biggest complaint was sameness: 32% said homes look too similar; 17% pointed to a lack of historic architecture; 13% said not enough mature trees.

We are growing Troop 30 at Grace. Any boys or girls (5th grade through 18 years of age) are welcome to join. Lots of fun and adventure in store for all.
