Lincoln Women's Chamber of Commerce The LWCC is a philanthropic, non-profit organization donating to Lincoln's charitable organizations emphasizing hands-on care for women and children.

Chartered in 1939 as the Women's Division of the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, the LWCC became a women's philanthropic organization in 1985. Educational, community service, and fund-raising opportunities are available to members. Early activities include Volunteering at USO and Air Base Service Club, plantings in city parks, renovating the Lincoln Statue of Liberty, Red Cross Drives, Star City Para

de, St. Francis Chapel renovation to continuing activities; i.e., providing school supplies and winter wear for elementary schools, assisting the Food Bank Corporate Campaign Against Hunger, sponsoring Juniors to Girls State, staffing the concession stand for Pinewood Bowl Musical, and contributing to many local hands-on organizations ~ Friendship Home, Fresh Start Home, The Lighthouse, YWCA, People's City Mission and Free Health Clinic, Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, Madonna's Alexis Verzal Children's Rehabilitation Hospital, Willie's Underwear Project, Voices of Hope, City Impact Reading Program, and many others.

Thursday - call Angie at 402.417.8951 or email [email protected] to see if seats are available for the Spring Fashion Show and Luncheon Saturday, April 22, at 11:30 a.m., Christ United Methodist Church, 4530 A Street, to benefit the LWCC Scholarship Fund to purchase books and equipment for nontraditional women students at Southeast Community College. Models include LeAnna Carr, Shannon Harner, Emma Harner, Zan Harner, Pat Leach, Joan Hudson, Isabel Burkholder, Sam Loken, and Michaela Kumke. Ashley Bean will emcee the program. Don't forget - Phil Goddard and Emma Harner, Dad and Daughter Duo, will entertain. Know any of these people? Get your seats and cheer them on as they walk a real runway.
