Ignite Lincoln

Ignite Lincoln We believe that public speaking builds confidence in individuals and that events like Ignite build community.

Our goal is to make it possible for anyone, anywhere, to learn to present their ideas and their stories. Ignite is a global event, organized by volunteers, where participants are given five minutes to speak about their ideas and personal or professional passions, accompanied by 20 slides. The presentations are meant to “ignite” the audience on a subject…any subject.

⭐ Introducing Jamie Bullins! ⭐

Through his Ignite speech, Jamie introduces us to the concept of “mitlied”, literally translated in English as “suffering with”. Sitting in live performance with an audience promotes the ephemeral, in the moment, experience with actual people. It happens in the now, and we meet the characters in the story where they are and see through their viewpoint. For a moment, we’re there. Join us at Ignite 17 to hear from Jamie and all of our fantastic speakers! Tickets available at https://buytickets.at/ignitelincoln/1845476

⭐ Introducing Erin Putney! ⭐

Erin is a nurse educator and founder of Teaching Courage, where she helps people find their voice in moments that matter. From classrooms to healthcare, her work focuses on the courage to be honest and uncomfortable, creating the conditions for presence and genuine connection to self and others. Drawing from lived experience and her work, Erin's Ignite speech explores how small, intentional practices can challenge shame and change how we speak to ourselves and each other. She blends the analytics of science with the artistry of humanity, grounded in a simple truth: it’s not either/or. It’s both. Join us at Ignite 17 to show your support for Erin and all of our outstanding speakers! Tickets available at https://buytickets.at/ignitelincoln/1845476

⭐ Introducing Amy Doty! ⭐

What if belonging isn’t a feeling — but a decision?
Join us at Ignite 17 as Amy explores how employment, education, and community readiness shape successful reentry after incarceration.
