We are so proud to recognize Sophia as our Teacher Assistant of the Month and Aras as our Staff of the Month! 🏆

Sophia is a Teacher Assistant for our YD Program and within the first couple of weeks into the school year, she impressed the team with her knowledge of the students and the site and willingness to step into any role the day presents. Sophia was quick to remember all of the students by name! Her calm and confident leadership is a huge asset to the Humann community! 💚

Aras is FSL's Square One Coordinator and he was a huge help in brainstorming initial ideas and creating vibrant multimedia training guides to help get Square One to where it is now. We want to thank Aras for seamlessly stepping into a mentorship role and always being ready to lend a helping hand to the whole team! 👏✨Aras exemplifies what it means to be a dedicated and inspiring FSL employee and we are so glad he is on our team!

Thank you Sophia and Aras for all that you do! 🙌

Hispanic Heritage Month: September 15 – October 15

¡Celebramos! Happy Hispanic Heritage Month! 🎉🌎

From September 15 to October 15, we honor the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities across the United States. At WIC, we are proud to serve and celebrate our diverse families every day!

Food is at the heart of so many traditions. With WIC, your family can enjoy culturally significant foods, like:

🌽 Corn (maíz) – a staple rich in fiber
🫘 Beans (frijoles) – packed with protein and iron
🍚 Brown Rice (arroz) – a versatile whole grain option
🥑 Avocados (aguacates) – full of healthy fats
🍌 Plantains (plátanos) – a great source of vitamins A and C

Talk to your WIC nutritionist about how to include your favorite cultural foods in your WIC shopping. Visit www.signupwic.com to get started.
