The month of September is Su***de Awareness and Prevention.

The mental health of our military and veterans are all too often overlooked. Either by family, friends, strangers, and even the person themselves.
'I can tough it out.' 'Embrace the suck.' 'Dust it off and keep marching forward.'
You may have said something like this before. The dark voices or invisible scars are not going away. Without sharing with a support system, those demons are just going to get louder. The weather changes, the days get dark sooner, and the holidays can get depressing for some.

Reach out to your loved one or neighbor. And keep in mind that true strength is asking for help.

The Green Star Service Banner was intentionally created to honor families of Veterans lost to su***de, families carrying a loss often connected to the invisible wounds of war and mental health struggles.

The Green Star represents:
💚 Recognition for families too often left unseen

The meaning behind the Green Star was created with purpose from the very beginning. No family should feel invisible.

Please follow our friends, support their work at GREEN STAR Families of America
