We love coming to these Dinners and sharing our mission the new veterans. Taking the time to talk with them and their family about what they did in the service. Then sharing our yearly event and all the connected resources who attend the parade. Also, all the cool vehicles, fun floats, and candy that's involved 😁

Thank you for contributing and supporting the Socks and Tops Drive.
In partnership with American Life &Security Corp, we raised about 150 lbs. of socks and $635 in online donations. Additionally, both our organizations have donated a contributed $3,000 to the Nebraska Community Action Partnership, Inc. Supportive Services for Veteran Family slush fund for the Lincoln community. That account is there to fill the different basic need items as they arise.
If you missed this Drive, no worries. You can always make a direct donation to SSVF or on our website. Riding on the success of this Drive, we are planning another Drive in the late winter or early spring time.

Read about this Success Story:
I have been part of SSVF program for about a year. During this time the program has helped me obtain my social security benefits so I could retire. The program also helped me file a claim with the VA for VA disability. From that claim I went from having no service connection to receiving 100% Permanent and Total adding roughly $4000 a month to my income. With this money and increased income, I have been able to pay off debts and continue to work on money management to ensure all bills are paid and my housing is secured. The SSVF program also educated me on benefits for dental work and I was able to get dentures all covered by the VA. This has led me to having more confidence. I have started to deliver meals as a volunteer for the community center for senior citizens that are home bound. Because of the SSVF program my life is forever changed. Thank you
M.S.
