This was founded by Blake and Kathy Collingsworth due to the personal tragedy of losing their son, Josh, due to drowning. Out of this tragedy has come a world wide foundation whose sole mission is to educate about water drowning, how to prevent it & save lives.

Graduation Day: Fully Clothed and Safe! 🎓👕

At Float 4 Life, graduation means a child falls into the pool fully clothed, flips onto their back, gets into the starfish position, and backstrokes to the side. That's real-world survival—and it's happening right here in Lincoln!

💙 Together with Josh the Otter, We Can Save Lives! 💙

What started as a heartfelt tribute from a father has become a life-saving mission. Blake Collingsworth, Josh’s dad, wrote "Josh the Baby Otter" to teach children the importance of water safety in a way that’s engaging, memorable, and fun.

Since then, we’ve reached over half a million children through classrooms, community events, and partnerships across the country. At every Josh the Otter event, kids:

🎶 Sing songs
🦦 And meet Josh the Otter himself!

Our mission is simple but powerful: to educate children and adults worldwide about drowning prevention through early childhood education and community-driven outreach.

That's Josh's golden rule! Swimming is great, but floating is a survival superpower. Float 4 Life teaches children to recover to a back float if they fall in—fully clothed, without assistance. It's a skill that buys precious time in an emergency.
