who we are
IASBWVM - International American Solidarity in Bigheartedness Work –Vie Meilleure is a humanitarian non-profit organization dedicated to helping people to reach their full potential. We work mostly with no - English speaking immigrants who choose to live in the USA, by providing access to basic help for their psycho-social integration in the community, and by keeping their values and cu

lture. We believe that changed environments may assist families, but transformed families will inevitably change their environments. Also, we recognize that poverty and global economic imbalance contribute to the suffering of disadvantaged children. The organization has chosen to focus its resources on offering hope to the immigrants’ families in the usa specially in Nebraska, giving them the option to improve their lives by offering basic help, vocational jobs training and legal aid, transportation and community issues for their integration. Also, IASBWVM believes in a world where no one lives in fear, where all have access to a decent standard of living and the opportunities essential to a long, healthy and creative life. Our mission is to help people living in absolute poverty achieve major improvements in their lives, improvements that are sustainable without ongoing support from IASBWVM. We will support sustainable, community-based projects that will have a lasting and meaningful impact on the children and families who going to participate. We will attempt to address the various issues surrounding the education, health, and safety of young immigrants and refugees in the communities of Lincoln.

We’re doing everything we can to help those in need. Daily, we’re reminded that we need partners serving on the ground. But we also need partners providing the resources that make it all happen.

Please, we need you.

The Democratic Republic of Congo

Home to more than 75 million people and over 242 ethnic groups have been distinguished and named. The most numerous people are the Luba, Mongo, and Bakongo. Although 700 local languages and dialects are spoken, the linguistic variety is bridged both by the use of French and the intermediary languages Kongo, Luba-Kasai, Swahili, and Lingala.

, DR Congo is a country rich in history and agriculture. But its history is marred by cycles of violent conflict and years of exploitative colonial rule, so today this beautiful country overflows with refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs). In a country that is one of the poorest on earth—and especially in the areas in which millions have felt the cruel fate of a conflict and post-conflict reality—the needs of DR Congo are great.

As tensions have vacillated unpredictable in recent years, Internal American solidarity in bigheartedness Work Vie Meilleure, works with local partners in Congo to eradicate the root causes of violence and poverty which led many children in the street by offering support to (and fighting stigmas associated with) survivors of sexual and gender-based violence, and establishing Village Peace Committees for community-level conflict mediation.
