On Wednesday, August 26, 2026, Jennifer Hopwood and RaeAnn Powers of the Xerces Society will be guests on How’s It Grown’? They will be discussing beetles and their ecological importance. Call during the show with your questions at 402-474-5086.

The Xerces Society for Invertebrate Conservation is an international nonprofit organization that protects the natural world through the conservation of invertebrates and their habitats. As a science-based organization, they conduct research and rely upon the most up-to-date information to guide their conservation work. Key program areas are: pollinator conservation, endangered species conservation, and reducing pesticide use and impacts.

Cain Stevens Paranormal Super Show is out at Branched Oak Observatory attending Astro-Con and repping his paranormal show (on KZUM Saturday mornings at 3am)! This event is from 6pm to 11pm tonight. If you aren't going to head out to the Branched Oak Observatory, go to kzum.org and check out the archives of his last shows. Sounds like a great Saturday night in the making!

Thursday August 6th is the last concert of the 2026 KZUM Stranksy Park Concert Series! Head to 17th and Harrison St for a great night of music! Womanish Girl will send the series off with scorching rock n roll that will blow your mind! Chi Style Kitchen will be serving up some great food. Bring your blankets, chairs, water, bug spray and some $$$ to support this free music series! We will be joined by the Lux Center for the Arts. Visit their table to participate in art for all and find out more about their amazing organization! Music starts at 7pm. Rain out call will be made at 1pm, day of.

Head to 17th and Harrison St for a night of world music with Oscar Rios Pohirieth & Amado Espinoza and Sandeep Das & Rajib Karmakar. Muchachos will be serving up some great food and the Artbus will be at the park with art! Bring your blankets, chairs, water, bug spray and some $$$ to support this free music series!
