Bill Oltean rejoins the 1868 Foundation board of directors after a brief hiatus. While retired, Bill’s most recent position was ownership in the Case IH Application equipment distributorship in Grand island. Now, he and his wife Joanne have two married adult children and four grandchildren and split much of their time in Oklahoma City, Ok and Amarillo, TX as proud grandparents.

Ty Benton and wife Jade Johnson have four children and one grandchild. Ty is a longtime State Farm Insurance Agent in Grand Island and also was very active in leadership positions in 4-H. Ty was on 4-H Area Council, County Council, State Council and was a State officer candidate.

Michele Baasch is a lifelong Grand Island community member and co-owner of Baasch Welding, which she operates with her husband, Richard. Michele and Richard are Diamond Life Members of the Nebraska State Fair 1868 Foundation. They have two children, son Brady and daughter-in-law Kaylee, and daughter Grace.
