Thank you David and Mandi Avery!
Tonight was one of those nights we will never forget.
We were completely surprised and incredibly honored to be named Booster of the Year. To be honest, it felt a little undeserved because we don’t do what we do for awards, recognition, or accolades. We do it because we genuinely care about this community and the people in it.
When our name was announced, I almost lost it. Somehow, I managed to hold it together (for the most part) until I got home. Then I sat quietly for a few minutes, looked at that plaque, and cried.
What this award means to us is hard to put into words.
We eat, sleep, breathe, and live this restaurant. Anyone who owns a small business knows it’s so much harder than it looks from the outside. There are sleepless nights, early mornings, constant worry, anxiety, sacrifices, and sometimes even literal blood, sweat, and tears. But every bit of it becomes worth it when we’re able to help a family, support a student, raise money for a local organization, or simply create a place where people can come together.
This community has embraced us, supported us, and believed in us from the beginning. The truth is, every fundraiser, every charity bingo night, every donation, and every event has always been our way of giving back to a community we love so much.
So while we never expected anything in return, this recognition touched us more deeply than you’ll ever know.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you. Thank you for supporting us, trusting us, cheering us on, and allowing us to be a small part of so many great things happening in our community.
This plaque will hang proudly at 1764, not as a reminder of what we’ve accomplished, but as a reminder of the incredible community we’re lucky enough to be a part of.
