You know it’s hot when your neighborhood bull moose is taking a dip in the irrigation ditches!! Trooper Kleich saw this today near Scottsbluff.

Nebraska State Senator Teresa Ibach represents District 44 in the Nebraska Legislature. The Senator joins the NSIA for lunch during their annual Summer tour. This year the NSIA toured NPPD irrigation projects. We greatly appreciate the Senator taking time out of her busy schedule to join us.

Congratulations to Mike Wells.

Mike Wells (on the right) was awarded the Nebraska Headgate Award during our annual meeting this winter. Since 1987, Mike has worked for the Twin Loups Reclamation and Twin Loups Irrigation districts, which deliver water to 56,122 irrigated acres in central Nebraska. Mike started working at the districts 33 years ago as a ditchrider, and eventually worked his way up to his current position as general manger. Congrats, Mike. Well deserved.
