The Nebraska Dental Association recently met with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska to discuss recent changes, member concerns, and questions surrounding the transition. A complete summary of the meeting was emailed to all members this morning.

Last week was a productive one for NDA advocacy efforts! On August 19, Lisa Sypal, Dr. Jessica Meeske, and Dr. Todd Wragge spent the day in meetings and conversations focused on Nebraska dentists, their patients, and public oral health.

Dr. Meeske and Dr. Wragge testified at an administrative public hearing held by the Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) regarding proposed changes to Dental Services (471 NAC 6) under the Nebraska Medicaid program.

The group also met with Nebraska’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Timothy Tesmer, stopped by the Capitol to visit with Senator Reipe, and had an impromptu meeting with the Executive Director of the Nebraska State Education Association.

This is advocacy in action. Your Association is showing up, building relationships, and making sure the voices of Nebraska dentists are heard — advocating for you, your patients, and our entire community.
