Start off your 4th of July tomorrow with a delicious pancake breakfast held at the Lincoln Veterans Memorial Hall (conveniently on the parade route). Follow up with the parade, and then move to McBean Park for the rest of the day’s events.

Breakfast is served from 7am to 9am, and includes pancakes, ham, eggs, coffee and juice. Thank you to Easy Company Cafe for providing the coffee.

Presented by Silver Star Parlor Native Sons of the Golden West and Placer Parlor Native Daughters of the Golden West the breakfast profits fund the parlors’ scholarship funds, as well as support the Lincoln Area Archives Museum, and other programs.

The parade is presented by the Lincoln Area Chamber of Commerce. The rest of the day’s events are presented by the Lincoln 4th of July Foundation. Donarions are still needed and welcomed by going to its page. The evening ends with a Lincoln Potters game, and fireworks.

Breakfast will be served from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., and is located along the parade route, which starts at 9 a.m.

Mark your calendars for the annual 4th of July pancake breakfast, presented by the NDGW and NSGW and held at the Lincoln Veterans Memorial Hall, 541 5th Street in Lincoln. The funds raised by both organizations support local scholarship programs, the Lincoln Area Archives Museum, and other non-profit groups and endeavors.

The always delicious breakfast will be served from 7am to 9am, and is conveniently located along the parade route which starts at 9am. Prices are only $12 for those aged 12 and above, and $5 for those 11 and under, to help make breakfast more affordable for families. Tickets will be able to be purchased with cash or credit/debit cards.

Advance tickets can be purchased at Sierra Hills Framing, 531 Lincoln Blvd, Suite B, in Lincoln, Tuesdays through Fridays from 10am to 5pm, and on Saturdays from 10am to 2pm.

Silver Star 63 member, Paul Crawford, passed away March 12th, at the age of 93. Paul had been a member since September of 1998, and served as an officer several times. He will be missed (his hugs were legendary). Paul is the father and father-in-law of members Mike and Audrey Crawford.

The parlor held its annual holiday dinner this week. Thank you to Grand Parlor officers Jeff Schmidt and Shane Simmons, and their guests, for attending. We also celebrated the parlor’s 140th Anniversary in 2025, and each member received a commemorative coffee cup at the dinner.
