Last Sunday evening, my family and I spent the evening in Table Rock, Nebraska, for their Battle of the Bands!

It was such a fun night under the stars, and I especially loved getting to dance with my sisters! It was also a special evening honoring Joe Stehlik, and it was wonderful to see him once again.

I’m so grateful for the warm welcome we received from everyone throughout the evening! It was such an honor to spend time with so many wonderful people, visit with familiar faces, and meet new ones. We loved being able to represent Czech royalty and share in such a fun community event!

Thank you, Table Rock, for having us! ❤️🇨🇿

Last weekend, Ava and I attended Prague Czech Heritage Day as part of Beer Barrel Days in Prague, NE!

It was a wonderful day, despite the rain, as we congratulated the new Prague Czech Royalty and the newly crowned Prague Czech Queen, Lauren Sousek! We also want to give a special shoutout to Christina Kavan, who served as Prague’s queen for the past three years. It was such an honor to get to know Christina and become her friend. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors!

Once again it is always a pleasure to see Karolina Dvorak, our new Miss Czech-Slovak US! It was so fun to be able to spend another festival together and hope to see her more throughout her national reign!

We also want to extend a huge thank you to all of the members of the Nebraska Czechs of Prague who made the festival so fun and enjoyable! Thank you again for hosting us with such warmth and hospitality. We hope to attend for many years to come! 🇨🇿❤️

Another successful Wilber weekend has come and gone!
Ava and I had such a wonderful time attending Wilber this year, and cheering on Karolina as she went on to win Miss Czech Slovak US! She is such a beautiful person and ambassador, and we could not be happier for her as she begins her journey. We are so very greatful to have such a wonderful role model to look up to, not only in our Czech heritage preservation, but also in life. We love you Lina, and hope you have the best year ever!
Along with Lina, we were able to witness two amazing other young women, Kathrine and Hannah win national titles. I was able to talk with them during our Royalty Luncheon, and they are also such wonderful people. Much congrats to you both, and we know you will do great things!
It was also a pleasure to meet so many other queens from out of state, including Olivia Kual from South Dakota, Grace McKinley from Missouri, Ashlee Hanson from Wisconsin, and many more! I am looking forward to next year when I will have the opportunity to compete alongside such an amazing group of girls!
I also had the honor of crowning my sister, Caroline Davis, as the new Lincoln Czech-Slovak Queen! It was so fun to have my sister and built in best friend as a queen to be with all e
weekend! I can’t wait to see what she does over the next year as she prepared for the Nebraska Pageant!
During the festival, we were invited to the Queens Reception, where we had a lovely time visiting with familiar faces and meeting new ones from across the nation. After enjoying the wonderful hospitality, we headed out to ride in the parade! We love riding in parades, especially Wilber’s, because the support and interactions we receive from the people and the community are truly wonderful.
It is always so special to see how much love and pride the Wilber community has for their Czech heritage!
We can’t wait to attend again next year!

Ava and I were beyond honored to attend the Wilson Czech Festival in Wilson, Kansas, this past weekend, July 26th! We were especially grateful for the opportunity to meet so many other state queens and make some wonderful new connections.

We want to wish the best of luck to Hannah Thomason of New York, Eden Tlapák of Oklahoma, and Brooklyn Webb of Kansas as they compete at the National Pageant next weekend! We also had the chance to spend some time with Olivia Kual of South Dakota, and I can’t wait to get to know her even better as we prepare to compete together next year! It was also wonderful to visit with Aspen Hein, Miss Czech-Slovak US 1st Runner-Up 2024/25, and I’m so glad we had the chance to meet her!

Ava and I would also like to extend a huge congratulations to the newly crowned Kansas Czech-Slovak Queen, Jessica Wonderlich! She is going to do such wonderful things this year, and I’m so excited to get to know her more before we compete together!

It was also wonderful to see Christina Kavan of Prague and share another festival day with her!

Thank you so much to everyone in Wilson for welcoming us with such incredible hospitality. We had such a wonderful time and are so grateful for the memories made! ❤️🇨🇿

Ava and I had a wonderful time at the Dwight Czech Festival this past weekend! We were honored to take part in the parade and enjoyed seeing so many familiar faces throughout the day. We were also excited to see fellow royalty, including Andelka Cerny of South Central, Christina Kavan of Prague, and the newly crowned Dwight Czech Queen, Kristen Coufal! We wish Kristen the very best as she begins her journey toward the state pageant next year. We also had the pleasure of meeting the new Dwight Princess, Vivienne Matulka. It was so wonderful to meet them both!

I also enjoyed the delicious pork lunch at Assumption Catholic Church! A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who prepared and served such a wonderful meal. Your hard work and hospitality are truly appreciated!

Thank you to everyone who welcomed us and helped make the day so memorable. It was such a joy to celebrate our Czech heritage with the Dwight community! 🤍🇨🇿

This past week, our outgoing Miss Nebraska Czech-Slovak Queen, Lina Dvorak, and I had the incredible honor of helping at the TJ Sokol Czech Day Camp at Sokol Wilber!

This year’s theme celebrated 100 years of TJ Sokol, and it was so much fun not only learning more about Sokol history myself, but also watching the kids immerse themselves in it throughout the week. Seeing them learn, grow, and get excited about their heritage was truly heartwarming.

We were also so grateful to spend the week alongside some amazing Nebraska Czech royalty! Wilber Czech Princess 2025–26 Kenna Boggs and Wilber Czech Queen 2026–27 Kelsey Zoubek were in my group, and it was so much fun getting to work with them all week. It was also wonderful to volunteer alongside Miss Nebraska Czech-Slovak Queen 2025–26 Runner-Up Monica Zoubek.

One of the highlights of the week was having the opportunity to wear my kroj, perform my violin talent for the campers, and take part in a Q&A about my experience as Miss Nebraska Czech-Slovak. I loved being able to share my experiences and passion for our heritage with the kids, answer their thoughtful questions, (I especially loved when one kids asked if my legs were actually pink or if that was just part of the costume 😂 🩷) and hopefully inspire them to stay connected to their Czech roots.

Lina’s favorite part was teaching her campers their slet routine, and bonding with her pageant little sister, Harper, who was a camper.

A special thank you to Susan Sneft and the entire camp committee for making this week possible. Your dedication to preserving and sharing our Czech heritage is truly inspiring, and I’m so grateful for all the time, effort, and love you pour into this camp.

I had such a wonderful week, and I already can’t wait to come back next year. Thank you to everyone who made Czech Camp so memorable! ❤️🇨🇿
