On September 24th, Ava and I had the incredible opportunity to witness the visit of Czech President Petr Pavel to Nebraska.

Ava had the honor of seeing Czech President Petr Pavel when he visited the University of Nebraska-Lincoln at Kimball Recital Hall. During his visit, Ava listened to his remarks on Nebraska’s importance in maintaining friendship between the U.S. and the Czech Republic. During the question-and-answer portion of the visit, President Pavel talked about various topics, including study abroad and Czech Republic relations, NATO’s role in Europe, and the Czech Republic’s support for Ukraine. When wrapping up the question-and-answer portion, the University and Komensky Club gifted President Pavel with a replica of the Komensky Club’s historical plaque, a Husker jersey with his name on the back, and a Komensky Club shirt. Among the crowd of 450 people, Ava had a great time getting to visit with the Czech-Slovak National Court. After we listened to President Pavel’s remarks, Ava and the national court were able to participate in interviews and take photos.

I had the chance to see President Pavel when he visited Wilber, Nebraska later that afternoon. People gathered in Sokol Hall to welcome the President and thank him for visiting our community. I was able to spend time with other Nebraska Chapter Queens as well as queens from across the country, which made the experience even more special.

The Wilber Czech dancers performed for President Pavel, and seeing his smile as he watched them was such a special moment. He laughed and clapped along with the rest of the community, and it was a beautiful reminder of the strong bond between Nebraska and the Czech Republic.

It was an incredible day to celebrate our shared heritage and the lasting friendship between our two communities. 🇨🇿🇺🇸

I had so much fun at the Milligan Brewfest this past weekend! I was joined by my little sister Sidney, Lincoln Czech Slovak Princess!
I will always be greatful to have the opportunity to be royalty alongside my sisters. It is such a blessing to always have them by my side, I love them so much and they are such a blessing!

I was able to chat with other visiting royalty, including Andelka Cerny of South Central, who I had the honor of competing alongside in June! It was so fun to catch up with her along with the other royalty members in attendance.

I wanted to exchange a huge then you to everyone in Milligan for their hospitality! They are always so kind and make me feel so welcome in their town!

Ava and I had so much fun at the Nebraska State Fair on Sunday August 30th!

We participated in the Queen’s Day parade and it was so fun to be able to meet and talk to some of the other Nebraska title holders!

Thank you to everyone at the Nebraska State Fair for you hospitality! It was my first time at the fair, and I hope to go again in the next years!

Last Sunday evening, my family and I spent the evening in Table Rock, Nebraska, for their Battle of the Bands!

It was such a fun night under the stars, and I especially loved getting to dance with my sisters! It was also a special evening honoring Joe Stehlik, and it was wonderful to see him once again.

I’m so grateful for the warm welcome we received from everyone throughout the evening! It was such an honor to spend time with so many wonderful people, visit with familiar faces, and meet new ones. We loved being able to represent Czech royalty and share in such a fun community event!

Last weekend, Ava and I attended Prague Czech Heritage Day as part of B**r Barrel Days in Prague, NE!

It was a wonderful day, despite the rain, as we congratulated the new Prague Czech Royalty and the newly crowned Prague Czech Queen, Lauren Sousek! We also want to give a special shoutout to Christina Kavan, who served as Prague’s queen for the past three years. It was such an honor to get to know Christina and become her friend. We wish her all the best in her future endeavors!

Once again it is always a pleasure to see Karolina Dvorak, our new Miss Czech-Slovak US! It was so fun to be able to spend another festival together and hope to see her more throughout her national reign!

We also want to extend a huge thank you to all of the members of the Nebraska Czechs of Prague who made the festival so fun and enjoyable! Thank you again for hosting us with such warmth and hospitality. We hope to attend for many years to come! 🇨🇿❤️

Another successful Wilber weekend has come and gone!
Ava and I had such a wonderful time attending Wilber this year, and cheering on Karolina as she went on to win Miss Czech Slovak US! She is such a beautiful person and ambassador, and we could not be happier for her as she begins her journey. We are so very greatful to have such a wonderful role model to look up to, not only in our Czech heritage preservation, but also in life. We love you Lina, and hope you have the best year ever!
Along with Lina, we were able to witness two amazing other young women, Kathrine and Hannah win national titles. I was able to talk with them during our Royalty Luncheon, and they are also such wonderful people. Much congrats to you both, and we know you will do great things!
It was also a pleasure to meet so many other queens from out of state, including Olivia Kual from South Dakota, Grace McKinley from Missouri, Ashlee Hanson from Wisconsin, and many more! I am looking forward to next year when I will have the opportunity to compete alongside such an amazing group of girls!
I also had the honor of crowning my sister, Caroline Davis, as the new Lincoln Czech-Slovak Queen! It was so fun to have my sister and built in best friend as a queen to be with all e
weekend! I can’t wait to see what she does over the next year as she prepared for the Nebraska Pageant!
During the festival, we were invited to the Queens Reception, where we had a lovely time visiting with familiar faces and meeting new ones from across the nation. After enjoying the wonderful hospitality, we headed out to ride in the parade! We love riding in parades, especially Wilber’s, because the support and interactions we receive from the people and the community are truly wonderful.
It is always so special to see how much love and pride the Wilber community has for their Czech heritage!
We can’t wait to attend again next year!
