A colorful new welcome to City Impact!

The next time you're driving along North 33rd Street near Peter Pan Park, take a look at what's new!

Local artist Seth Boggs has just completed a vibrant mural on the exterior of our City Impact building, bringing creativity, color, and personality to the neighborhood.

But this transformation is about more than adding color to a wall. It's about creating a welcoming space, celebrating our neighborhood, and inspiring hope and connection with the young people and families who call this community home.

A big thank you to Seth for sharing his creativity and talent with our community!

New Public Mural Project to Bring Hope and Creativity to Urban Lincoln Neighborhood

LINCOLN, Neb. — A local neighborhood in urban Lincoln is set to receive a powerful boost of renewal and inspiration. Beginning today at noon, acclaimed urban artist Seth Boggs ( https://bogzilla.com) will break ground on a brand-new public spray paint mural, transforming a prominent local wall into a vibrant focal point of creativity and community pride.

Designed to serve as a catalyst for positive change, the mural project aims to uplift a struggling area of the city through the transformative power of public art. This very prominent wall on North 33rd street adjacent to Peter Pan Park will be filled with an engaging artistic vision, the initiative seeks to foster neighborhood connection, inspire creativity, and cultivate a sense of hope and reminder to pursue education in the community.

Boggs, widely recognized for his dynamic urban street style and impactful installations throughout the region, will begin painting on-site starting tomorrow at 12:00 PM. Local residents, community members, and art enthusiasts are invited to drop by and witness the artwork take shape in real time.

👀 What does it look like to See the Story at City Impact?

Recently, we welcomed guests inside City Impact to see our programs, hear stories, and learn more about how we’re walking alongside young people and families in Lincoln.

From Literacy and Kingdom Club to the spaces where relationships are built every week, it was an opportunity to see firsthand what happens inside these walls and hear more about what’s ahead as City Impact and Youth for Christ come together.

Better Together at Worlds of Fun!

Last Saturday, young people from City Impact joined more than 150 young people and leaders from across our Campus Life ministry for a day at Worlds of Fun.

There were plenty of rides, laughs, and memories, but days like this are also about relationships. Young people spending time with caring adults who show up, have fun with them, and walk alongside them.

One more way we’re seeing what Better Together looks like!

What does the world say you are? What does God say you are?

That was the conversation at Kingdom Club Tuesday night as young people talked about identity. The world gives us plenty of labels and places to search for who we are, but God has already given us an identity.

Over the past several weeks, these young people have been learning, asking questions, having fun, and growing in their understanding of who God is. This week, three young people gave their lives to Christ!

We’re grateful for Kingdom Club Director Austin and volunteers Bryce, Malerie, Sherry, Michele, Kevin, and Gabe who faithfully show up, build relationships, and point young people to Jesus.
What a blessing of an evening!
