It's Market Monday!

These material prices come from Secondary Materials Pricing (SMP), the marketplace that tracks the value of recyclable commodities such as aluminum cans, steel cans, paper, plastics, and glass after they've been used and collected for recycling.

The value of these materials changes over time based on factors like supply and demand, material quality, contamination levels, transportation costs, and global market conditions. These fluctuations play an important role in the financial sustainability of recycling programs!

This month, we're seeing increased values for aluminum cans, steel cans, and cardboard. If you're collecting recyclables, now is a great time to pay attention to these high-value materials and keep them clean and contamination-free!
