COOLER DAYS ARE AHEAD!

We are thrilled to share that our new air-conditioning units will be installed tomorrow—just in time for the hot days still ahead!

After the heartbreaking theft of our previous units, the incredible support from our community reminded us just how much good there is in the world.

We are especially thankful that Domesti-PUPS was not responsible for the cost of replacing the air-conditioning units. This means that the generous donations we received can instead be used to help make our facility even safer.

All donations received will go toward increasing security, including installing cameras and adding fencing around the AC units to help prevent something like this from happening again.

Thank you to everyone who reached out, donated, shared our story, and offered their support. Because of you, we are able to turn a difficult situation into an opportunity to make Domesti-PUPS stronger and safer for the dogs and people who depend on us.

As many of you may have heard, early Friday morning someone stole both of our air-conditioning units.

What has happened since has reminded us just how incredible our community truly is. The outpouring of kindness, concern, messages, offers to help, and support has been absolutely mind-blowing and incredibly heartwarming.

In a moment that could have left us feeling discouraged, you reminded us that there is so much more good in this world than bad. ❤️🐾

We are hopeful at this time that insurance will cover the cost of repairing or replacing the units. We have also been overwhelmed by the generosity of several people and organizations that have stepped forward and offered to help cover the cost if insurance does not.

Because of the incredible support we have received, donations will continue to make a lasting impact beyond replacing the units. Funds raised will help us update our camera and surveillance systems and add protective cages around the new units once they are installed to help prevent something like this from happening again.

From the very bottom of our hearts—and from all of us at Domesti-PUPS—thank you. ❤️🐾

We are beyond grateful to be surrounded by such an amazing community. Your support reminds us why we do what we do and how fortunate we are to have so many people standing beside us.

Today was not the way we wanted to start our day.

We’re heartbroken to share that while we had a busy fundraising weekend planned, someone stole the AC units from our building.

This unexpected loss for our organization and has reminded us of another important need: upgrading our cameras and security system.
