First day of our Kids Can program in Omaha, and the kids are already raising the bar! 💪

During our introduction day, one young girl held a wall sit for 16 minutes and 23 seconds—beating our all-time record, including the middle school record. She looked like she could’ve kept going, but we stopped the clock there!

What a way to start. 👏

We were honored to meet Mayor Ewing while attending Sunday service at St. John African Methodist Episcopal Church and taking a stroll through Omaha’s historic 24th and Lake neighborhood.

Yesterday, EGC had the opportunity to be part of the Better World Today Water Balloon Community Event!

Our team hosted an EGC booth where we connected with families and community members, shared more about our programs and organization, and talked about the different opportunities available for youth to get involved with EGC.

Events like this are about more than just showing up — they give us a chance to build relationships, spread awareness, and continue connecting young people and families with resources and opportunities in our community.

Yesterday was also extra special because we got to celebrate our Executive Director’s 24th birthday! 🎉🎂 What better way to spend a birthday than out in the community continuing the mission!

Thank you to Better World Today for having us and to everyone who stopped by the EGC booth, asked questions, and learned more about what we do. ❤️
