LincolnHR is hosting a Professional Clothing Drive!

We are excited to partner with Nebraska Wesleyan University’s Career Closet to help prepare the next generation of professionals for success!

All professional attire is welcome and appreciated! NWU accepts all sizes and styles, though they have a current special request for:
- Smaller sizes (suits, pants, blazers in both men’s & women’s)
- Accessories: Ties, purses, scarves, & professional jewelry
- Footwear: Gently worn professional shoes

Have larger sizes or other professional pieces? Bring them along! Every donation helps equip a student for interviews and career growth.

How to Donate:
· At the October Program: Bring your items directly to our monthly program on Tuesday, October 13th!
· Forgot your clothes or can't make it? Drop donations off at the Assurity Center through Friday, October 16th, and we’ll deliver everything to Wesleyan.

What percentage of your employees do you think are currently carrying a significant personal burden? The reality is: nearly everyone.

At our July LincolnHR program yesterday, Dr. Susan Meyerle, LIPC joined us to tackle a vital topic for modern HR leaders: navigating chronic stress, burnout, and the "invisible struggles" our people carry every single day.

Key takeaways from the session:
- Connection Before Correction: When patterns shift, reach out and give employees space to truly talk before jumping to performance management.
- Support, Don't Solve: Our task isn't to solve the personal crisis. Our role is to listen actively and connect them with vital resources, like an EAP.
- Compassion Without Carrying the Load: As HR professionals, we have to protect our own peace and practice empathy without taking on the weight of the burden.
- Coach Your Leaders: We must actively guide managers on how to build psychological safety through active listening, transparency, and confidentiality.

When employees feel genuinely supported and cared for during life's hardest chapters, they stay with your organization.
