In honor of Fair Trade Month we'd like to share the story of Gerardo Goicochea!

Gerardo is a fair trade coffee farmer from the village of Santa Rosa in Jaén Province in the mountains of northeast Peru. He's also a founding member of the Sol & Café Farmer’s Cooperative, a long-standing partner co-op with Equal Exchange

October is Fair Trade Month!

For 45 years, our Lincoln community has helped us support artisans and makers around the world through fair trade. From our volunteers and customers to the artisan partners behind every product, so many people make our mission possible.

This month, we’re celebrating the people, partnerships and handcrafted goods that connect our local community to communities around the world.

It's First Friday Craft Week! Join us on Friday to experiment with wool needle felting and take home your own handmade fluffy friend!

Our Nepalese artisan partners have a long history of turning raw wool into cute colorful creations thanks to their long history working with fleeces native to their Himalayan home. Join us Friday, October 2nd from 6-8pm to try needle felting for yourself which learning more about our partners in Nepal.

All materials are free thanks to our generous event sponsor Union Bank & Trust! So stop in, get creative, and shop fair trade while you craft!

These tiny dolls come from a Guatemalan tradition of sharing your worries with a doll before placing it under your pillow at night. Join us Friday to make your own worry doll while learning a little more about the tradition behind them.

All materials are free, so stop in, get creative and shop fair trade while you craft!
