There's nothing quite like experiencing conservation firsthand. Earlier this month, we welcomed the boards of Solidago Conservancy and the Lincoln Parks Foundation to our newly protected Prairie Corridor Link Property for a joint board meeting.

Board members enjoyed a sneak peek of this remarkable landscape while taking time to reflect on the role nature plays in their own lives.

This remarkable property protects rare wetlands, wildlife habitat, and reestablishes native prairie while moving the Prairie Corridor one step closer to completion. With this acquisition, 70% of the trail corridor is now secured, creating lasting connections for both people and wildlife. We are so excited! Thanks Nebraska Public Media News

A partnership between three organizations has acquired nearly 100 acres of land southwest of Pioneers Park, bringing Lincoln one step closer to completing a long-planned trail and tallgrass prairie corridor.

Welcome to the new Prairie Corridor Link!

Less than 1% of Nebraska’s native tallgrass prairie remains today, but our Prairie Corridor project is changing that.

We announced today a 98-acre acquisition that provides a vital link in the corridor, progress made possible through a partnership between the City of Lincoln Government, Lower Platte South NRD, and Solidago Conservancy.

Once completed, the Prairie Corridor will form a continuous 7,400-acre area of tallgrass prairie extending from the Pioneers Park Nature Center to the Spring Creek Prairie Audubon Center, enabling us to grow the good life for our community. As we grow the corridor, we

🥾 create more opportunities for residents and visitors to hike, bike, explore nature, and experience the beautiful landscape that shapes our region’s identity

💧 protect vital natural resources that improve water quality and help reduce flood risks downstream

🌾 preserve an important part of Nebraska's natural heritage for future generations.

Solidago Conservancy is partnering with Bike Walk Nebraska on a statewide study exploring how trails impact Nebraska’s economy, health, and quality of life. ✍ If you use or advocate for local trails, have a business alongside a trail, or oversee a trail system, please take a few minutes to provide input in support of the study.
