"For the past five years, I’ve had the privilege of volunteering with ECHO Collective’s Refinery Program, an initiative that empowers immigrant and refugee women in Lincoln through entrepreneurship, education, and community. It has been inspiring to witness so many women grow in confidence, expand their professional networks, and pursue their entrepreneurial goals as the Refinery has now graduated 12 cohorts. Being part of a connected community environment that values empowerment, connection, and opportunity has been incredibly meaningful to me. I’m grateful for the relationships and experiences I’ve gained through volunteering, and I’m proud to support a program that creates lasting impact in our community."

At Washington Street Senior Center, something beautiful has been happening around tables filled with crafts and conversation.

Through our Healing Hands initiative, New American entrepreneurs from ECHO Collective spend time creating alongside older adults in our community. What began as a creative partnership has grown into genuine connection across generations and cultures.

One senior participant shared, “It brings people together, breaks down social isolation and makes people feel useful and youthful.”

Another said, “When I know you guys are coming, I make sure to be here.” 🤗

These visits remind us how meaningful it can be to simply spend time together and learn from one another.
