Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc - Nebraska Chapter 2 - Heartland MOMS

Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc - Nebraska Chapter 2 - Heartland MOMS We are mothers who have children serving in the military or whom are veterans. We support our children while promoting patriotism. Captain George H.

On January 22, 1942 the Flint News Advertiser printed a coupon asking Mothers of serviceman to return the coupon after filling it out. The following February 1st 300 mothers met in the Durant Hotel, in Flint Michigan. Maines, who had conceived the idea for this group, acted as the chair of this first meeting. It was decided that after receiving 1000 responses from the ad to form a permanent organi

zation. On February 6th the organization was reported on Congressional record. Chapters then formed in Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, New York, Pennsylvania, Oregon, California, Iowa and Washington. In June of 1960 the organization was chartered by congress. Mothers volunteered throughout the tough times of World War II. They worked in hospitals, train stations, packed care packages for soldiers and were an working part of homeland security during times our time of war. The organization waned in size over the years but has held together by mothers showing pride in both their children and country. In recent times we have began to grow in strength. Being attacked on our own soil has once again started mothers hanging flags in their windows at home proclaiming pride in the fact that we have children protecting our freedom during at time of war

Our organization not only provides support for active duty service personnel, promotes patriotism, assists Veterans organizations, and are available to assist in homeland volunteer efforts to help our country remain strong.

❤️ RED Friday ❤️

Remember Everyone Deployed. 🇺🇸

Every Friday, we proudly wear red to show support for the brave men and women serving our nation around the world. While many of us go about our daily lives, there are service members standing watch far from home, sacrificing time with their families to protect our freedoms.

Blue Star Mothers of America proudly stands beside our deployed troops and the families waiting and praying for their safe return. A simple act like wearing red helps remind our military community that they are never forgotten.

To all who are deployed, know that you are appreciated, supported, and held close in our hearts. We thank you for your courage, sacrifice, and unwavering dedication to our country. ❤️

Until they all come home.

Happy Mother’s Day 💙

Today, we honor and celebrate all mothers, especially the incredible military mothers who carry both pride and sacrifice in their hearts every single day. 🇺🇸

Military mothers know the strength it takes to support a child who chooses to serve our nation. We know the sleepless nights during deployments, the quiet worry during long periods of silence, the tears at goodbyes, and the overwhelming pride that comes with watching our children wear the uniform and serve something greater than themselves.

Whether your child is currently serving, deployed, a veteran, or forever remembered, your love, strength, and support matter more than words can express.

At Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc., we recognize that military mothers serve too. Through every deployment, every homecoming, every sacrifice, and every prayer, military mothers continue standing strong beside their children and our nation.

Today, we celebrate YOU. 💙

To every military mother, thank you for your strength, your sacrifices, your support, and your unwavering love.

Wishing all mothers a beautiful and blessed Mother’s Day. 🌸🇺🇸

May is Gold Star Awareness Month 💛

Throughout the month of May, we pause to honor and remember the families whose loved ones made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. Gold Star Families carry a loss that words can never fully heal, yet they continue to show incredible strength, courage, and love. 🇺🇸

At Blue Star Mothers of America, Inc., we stand beside our Gold Star Families and hold close the memories of the heroes who gave everything for our freedoms. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten, and neither will the families who continue to carry their legacy forward every day.

This month, we encourage everyone to take a moment to reflect, remember, and honor the service members who gave their lives in defense of our country.

💛 Always Remembered… Never Forgotten 💛

To all Gold Star Families, we see you, we honor you, and we thank you. 🇺🇸

The first Saturday in May is recognized as National EOD Day!

In 2010, Congress formally recognized this day through H.Res. 1294, honoring those who serve and have served in the noble and self-sacrificing profession of Explosive Ordnance Disposal in the United States Armed Forces.

Today, we honor the strength it takes to walk toward danger so others can live in safety. We recognize the quiet sacrifices, the families who stand beside them, and the unbreakable bonds within the EOD Community.

We also pause to remember the EOD Warriors who gave their lives in service to others. Their legacy lives on in every mission, every teammate, and every life saved.

Join us in honoring and thanking our EOD Community today. 💙
