Koolkat Motorsports Partners with Racing2Read to Promote Youth Literacy Through the Power of Racing

Street, MD – June 1, 2025 – Koolkat Motorsports is proud to announce a new partnership with Racing2Read, a nonprofit organization committed to improving childhood literacy by connecting young readers with the excitement of motorsports.

This collaboration aims to harness the energy and appeal of racing to inspire children to read more and dream big. Together, Koolkat Motorsports and Racing2Read will launch a variety of initiatives designed to encourage reading among elementary and middle school students.

Under the partnership, Koolkat Motorsports will feature Racing2Read’s logo on its Grand Prix Hydroplane, driver gear, and team branding throughout the upcoming season. In addition, the team will participate in Racing2Read events, including school visits and community events that connect racing with reading in fun and meaningful ways.

“We believe every child deserves the opportunity to discover the joy of reading,” said Ed Thompson, of Koolkat Motorsports. “By teaming up with Racing2Read, we’re using our platform to spark imagination and make a real difference off the track.”

📚 114 kids participated in Racing2Read at Rose Hill Middle School in Redmond, WA. These students had the opportunity to sit in boats and hear all about racing before being given tickets to the SeaFair event!

🏁Racing2Read expanded to the TriCity WaterFollies event for H1 Unlimited and APBA Inboard Racing event partnering with the Kennewick School District to promote reading and racing in middle schools!

📚Congratulations to Desert Hills Middle School for your remarkable victory in the Racing to Read program! In a short amount of time, Desert Hills had 296 students participate in the challenge! Overall, 338 students from Deset Hills and Horse Haven Hills Middle Schools will be in attendance at Waterfollies!
