We are incredibly excited to announce the Breath of Life program to bring in businesses to the Lincoln College campus. Our community has been blessed by a benefactor operating under the LLC EZ 37: 4-5 with the purchase of the campus and a using a program to provide an unheard of opportunity, $1 annual leases contingent on new jobs in our community, with the intent to give away the property once the jobs goals are met.

Cup O' Joe with a Pro had terrific turnout with answers to the ever beguiling questions about how to make it so people online can find our businesses. Much thanks to Cale West with PRYNT Digital for sharing how businesses within Lincoln can best optimize their ability to be found. He pulled back the curtain on Search Engine Optimization (SEO) as well as Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and Generative Engine Optimization (GEO). Guest House hosted, providing coffee and cookies for all in attendance.

Do you have Household Hazardous Waste that you have been looking to dispose of? The Illinois Environmental Protection Agency has several events lined up this fall for FREE disposal of your waste. The nearest locations to Lincoln are Bloomington, Springfield, and Decatur.

Big news from LEAD: Uriah Kilgallin will be our next CEO, starting June 1.

Uriah joins us from the City of Peoria, where he works as an Economic Development Specialist managing more than $4 million in grant programs.

He holds an MBA from UIS, and he’s no stranger to Lincoln, he lived here for 15 years and went to school in town.

They want input from local businesses, residents, and elected officials before they start setting priorities for the next few years.
