Today is the day! We just mailed out the checks to our 2026 hike-a-thon fundraiser recipients, Khmer Maine and the Intrepid Academy at Hale. Beyond grateful for the partnership we formed with these two organizations this year. Can’t wait to see what they do with the $58,000 Solidarity hikers raised this year for them. Congratulations to all.

We are HIRING! The team is looking for our next team member to become our Marketing and Operations Coordinator!

This position is part-time, year-round, remote, and with very flexible work hours. You'll work directly with our Executive Director and volunteers to provide administrative, marketing, and program management support. This is an all-around position with special emphasis on social media marketing and communication skills.

And that's a wrap! Thanks to YOU, our incredible, inspiring, one-of-a-kind supporters, we raised the most we've ever raised for our campaign - $57,931!!! All funds raised this year will go towards two unresitricted grants for BIPOC-led justice orgs and Intrepid Academy .1918.

To every person who hiked, donated, and added your energy to this work: you made this possible. Every year this community pushes the bounds of what we thought was possible, and continues to show up for racial justice and outdoor access. Thank you.

Yesterday we got to announce our lucky winners for this year's campaign-long raffle - check them out on the second picture!

The hike-a-thon fundraiser may be over, but that doesn't mean the work is. Stay tuned for our winter Me and White Supremacy Challenge, now with a new program for alumni! Keep sharing your stories and photos, and remember to upload photos to our album (link in bio) so we can share them too!

Thank you again for moving in solidarity with us this year. It has been a difficult year for many communities of color in the United States, to say the least, but we are only doubling down on our fight for justice and equity. Together, we can win.

The taly is in... collectively we moved 10,306 MILES for this year's hike-a-thon!!!! If it felt like you were hiking your butts off this spring - YOU WERE! When we set a goal of 5k miles at the beginning of spring, we couldn't have imagined surpassing it by so much. Whether you hiked, walked, biked, paddled, or however you moved, thank you for moving in solidarity with us.

Every mile. Every dollar. Little steps add up to a big impact.

So far we've raised over $56,000 for racial justice and outdoor access programs in New England, and we're not done yet! Now's your last chance to buy your raffle tickets and get your donations in before the end of June when the fundraiser officially closes. Head to our fundraiser page (link in bio) for more.

If you haven't yet, remember to upload your solidarity hike photos to our photo album - link in bio! Please share your best 3-4 photos with your solidarity bandana or sign. We want to see your pics!

Moving together in solidarity is justice in action. We are so deeply grateful to everyone who, step-by-step, made the outdoors a more just and equitable space this spring. You continue to amaze us.

Today is the Summer Solstice, and we've officially reached the finish line of our 2026 hike-a-thon! THANK YOU to everyone who hiked with us - this is your reminder to log your miles and add your locations to our hiker map! The deadline to submit miles and locations is tomorrow, June 22nd, so go to the link in our bio to get started today.

TO ADD LOCATION: Go to our hike-a-thon page (link in bio) and scroll until you see our hiker map. Click the "hiker map" hyperlink. On the next page, you can search for and enter a hiking location to add it to our map.

TO LOG MILES: Visit the “Participant Center” updates page (link in bio!) to learn how to log your miles so they count towards our total.
1) Go to rallyup.com and create or log into your account.
2) Click on the circle with your initials in the upper right corner of the screen, then select My Account.
3) Select the My Participants tab and click on your name.
4) Select LOG MILES.
5) Select ENTER MILES.
6) Enter the details, then select either Save & Close or Save & Add Another.

If you aren't sure how to log your miles or add your hiking location, email your hiking information to [email protected] by tomorrow evening.

Lastly, don't stop fundraising! Our fundraiser will close at the end of June, so keep sharing with your friends and families to help us reach our $60k goal.

“Never let anything limit you. People will always try to dim your light. They fear what the can not control.” This is what had to say after summiting Mount Kilimanjaro in March, and we have to say it again and again and again.

On , we honor the legacy of Black Americans fighting for liberation everywhere. June 19th is the day in 1865 when enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, were informed of their freedom under the Emancipation Proclamation, more than two years after it was issued. It is a day for joy and commitment to the cause of freedom.

Dragonsky reminds us that freedom from oppression is an ongoing fight. It takes a hell of a lot of courage and deep commitment to the work.

If you supported our hike-a-thon fundraiser this year, we ask you to deepen your commitment to the collective work of liberation. For white participants, supporting without understanding can be performative. As our season of solidarity comes to a close, we challenge every white hiker who joined us this year to sign up for our winter virtual anti-racism challenge (now with a continuing ed program for alumni). Stay tuned in the coming months for more information.

In the spirit of Juneteenth, Freedom Day, let’s fight for a more just, accessible, inclusive, and equitable outdoors.

What do you do when you exceed your $50k fundraising goal for racial justice and outdoor access programs? Raise the goal to $60k.

Our fundraiser wraps up in the next few weeks at the end of June - help us reach our stretch goal of $60,000 raised this year! 100% of the money raised goes to unrestricted grants for and Intrepid Academy .1918.

If you hiked with us, donated, bought a raffle ticket, or have just followed along, now is your time to share it with your friends and family and ask for their support. Help us finish the season of solidarity strong!
