PEACE LEADERS CAMP 2026!

As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. said, "Peace is not merely a distant goal that we seek, but a means by which we arrive at that goal."

What if we taught our young people that conflict doesn't have to end in violence, anger, or broken relationships? What if we gave them tools to communicate, understand one another, and become peacemakers in their schools, homes, and communities? That's exactly what Peace Leaders Camp is all about!

From June 22–26, youth in grades 5th–9th will spend a week learning how to find peaceful solutions to conflict through art, writing, drama, and drumming. Through creative expression, hands-on activities, and real conversations, participants will discover that their voice matters and that they have the power to create positive change.

At St. Monica's, we believe our young people aren't just the leaders of tomorrow... they're leaders today. Let's equip them with the skills, confidence, and compassion to build a better future.

Last week, more than 25 of our kids participated in the Annual Anthony Muñoz Football Camp! Despite the heat, they learned valuable lessons about overcoming adversity, building strong character, and living with integrity all while having a blast playing football.

As always, our kids had an amazing experience, just as they have each year they’ve attended. A special shoutout to Ja’ziah, who was recognized as one of the fastest campers! Special shoutout to Ms. Brown, Mr. Ian, Mr. Kwasi, Ms. Kay, and Ms. Bianca who helped make this opportunity possible.

We are truly grateful for our partnership with the Anthony Muñoz Foundation and the opportunities they provide for the young people we serve.

What a fantastic week at our Wellness Camp for children ages 8–12!

Throughout the week, our kids explored what it means to be a good friend, learned healthy habits, built self-esteem, practiced emotional regulation, and celebrated with an Inside Out-themed finale. Most importantly, they discovered ways to care for their minds, bodies, and souls.

A special thank you to Ms. Olivia, a senior at Mt. Notre Dame High School, for doing an outstanding job leading the camp. Her energy, creativity, and heart for children helped make the week both fun and meaningful.

This week at the Center... SPORTS CAMP WEEK! Join Mr. Ian and staff as they lead kids in a variety of fun organized sports activities all week from 4:30-5:30pm for ages 6-12yr olds!

What a memorable evening for the St. Monica’s family!

Over 50 of our kids and staff enjoyed a special trip downtown, starting with a private delicious kid-friendly dinner at the “fancy” Prime restaurant before heading to the historic and beautiful Aronoff Center for the Arts to experience Disney’s The Lion King.

For many of our children, this was their first time dining in an upscale restaurant and attending a live theater performance. The smiles and excitement and made the evening truly unforgettable.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make this experience possible. Creating opportunities for our kids to learn, explore, and dream beyond what they see every day is a gift that will stay with them for years to come!
